MuLambdaChapterisinthemidstofcelebratingits81^year of brotherhood and service in the Washington DC metropolitan area. As one of the oldest alumni chapters of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Mu Lambda brothers continue to create programs that promote unity, strength, and peace. During the rst two months of this fraternal year, Mu Lambda continues to implement programs to uplift the community. In September, Mu Lambda brothers partnered with the Urban League and brothers from other area chapters to register local citizen to vote. In October, Mu Lambda implemented Project Alpha by working with middle school boys from Garnett Patterson Middle School. Brothers held workshops that focused on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases from the male perspective. The implementation of Project Alpha will continue at additional middle schools throughout the year. During October, Mu Lambda chapter and the Mu Lambda Foundation conducted a
kickoff for the 10**’Annual Henry Arthur Callis Beautillion Program. Recently, brothers met with 14 young men and their families to discuss the upcoming program. These young men will be the core group of our program, as we work to nd additional young men that could bene t from aprogram, \which improves the lives of young men is through education. The Beautillion Committee continues to work hard to make our 10

While the chapter continues to implement programs that impact the Washington DC community, it is also important to take time to recognize the brothers who have been the
