All the students love the socials! Right? Anyways, they are a super fun event our school holds twice a year There is food, open gym, a DJ, and even a raffle. Make sure to put it in a planner for next year, for you are guaranteed to go! In the photo on the left, Bradley Eustler and Harrison øliver enjoy life on the dance floor at the winter social

This year, we had a fun dodgeball tournament after school It was a break from the usual learning, and we got to team up with friends for some friendly competition. The whole atmosphere was laid-back and full of energy, with lots of laughs and exciting moments Our team really clicked as we played, and there were some unforgettable moves like lastminute catches and perfect dodges It was the perfect way to bond with friends and have fun outside of regular schoolwork, and it s definitely a memory they will remember

Every now and then during W.I.N. time, we’d get the chance to go outside It was a privilege for those who had no missing assignments and no homework to catch up on. It felt refreshing to step out of the classroom, enjoy the fresh air, and have a moment to relax Whether you were chatting with friends, playing a quick game, or just enjoying the outside, it was a nice break from the classroom
It was a time to enjoy the freedom, all while feeling accomplished for staying on top of your work.

Is 2025 the year of pop? it sure seems like it! With artist like Sabrina Carpenter, Chappell Roan, and Charlie XCX, it’s clear to see the inspiration that drove these artist to create such music... the synthesizer. The synthesizer, also known as the “synth,” was popular in the late 70's witht he rise of the pop ballad and is considered one of the most influential sound of the 80's. Also witht he revival of the glamour and cheerlike beats. For example, you could say that Chappell Roan’s “Hot to Go!” was directly influenced by Tori Basil’s “Hey Mickey!”. With this new expression of femininity, in an empowering way, songs written about women take more of a “Man! I feel like a women!” than the “Shawty Got Low” of the 2000's.
When you listen to “Espresso”, “LUNCH” or “Deju Vu”, you can clearly hear the aforementioned synthesizer and the balled-like sound; you can hear the similarities to the popular songs of the 80's. This is something seem in music over and over again: the repeat and recycling of the beat and sound that music takes. the music that your parents listen to informs your knowledge of music. the brain remembers the most memorable music, and at your young age, you are most vulnerable to emotions and memories.
Now that members of Gen Z are becoming pop stars, they remember the music thei mothers ans fathers taught them. Cyndi Lauper, Bonnie Tyler, and George Micheal turn into Sabrina Carpenter, Tate McRae, and Billie Eilish. In the same way that the Beatles inspired Nirvana. Tale as old as time. So next time you hear a song on the radio, think about all that inspired it!
