2025 NJ Program Version 2

In 1998 the Oklahoma homeschool community was a dynamic and growing entity that consisted of numerous grassroots organizations dedicated to assisting families choosing to educate their children at home. One of the greatest needs was an organization that provided athletic programs in a positive Christian atmosphere to homeschooled student-athletes. The Northeast Oklahoma Association of Homeschools (NOAH) was founded to meet the need.

On March 8, 1998, 17 families assembled to form NOAH. NOAH is a 501(c)3 organization created to provide homeschool students the opportunity to develop athletic abilities while building character in a distinctly Christian environment. NOAH desires to maintain a high standard of character, competition, and safety for all participants. A board of nine directors conducts the business of governing and managing the organization.

In July 1998, NOAH leased a “home” gym at Town and Country School on 101st Street near Yale Avenue in south Tulsa. The athletic program began in October 1998 with three varsity, two junior high, four elementary basketball teams, and a cheerleading squad. In the spring of 1999, NOAH participated in its first National Homeschool Basketball Tournament. NOAH desires to perform at the highest level of competition and regularly competes against teams from public and private schools and other homeschool organizations.

The expansion of NOAH athletic programs began with the addition of high school golf in 2000. Elementary flag football was added in the fall of 2001, followed by elementary baseball in 2003.

The baseball program expanded to junior high in 2004 and varsity in 2005. Soccer began in 2004 with an elementary girls’ team and expanded to varsity girls and boys in 2005. One of the most exciting additions to the organization was tackle football. The junior high team began competition in 2004, followed by junior varsity in 2005, and the first-ever eleven-manhomeschool varsity football team in 2006. The varsity football team competed against various opponents, including a class 6A public school. Tennis, Shooting Sports, Track & Field, and volleyball were the most recent additions.

NOAH serves over 400 homeschool athletes and welcomes all eligible homeschool students who wish to participate in its programs.

NOAH is an organization with the specific objective of providing athletic and educational services to the homeschooling community. These services are provided to promote a positive Christian atmosphere for all who participate. We desire to maintain a high standard of character, competition, and safety for all our participants. NOAH welcomes homeschooled students to participate in our many sports programs.

“Providing homeschool students opportunities to develop athletic abilities while building character in a distinctly Christian environment.”

Grace and peace to you from our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

As the Athletic Director of NOAH Football, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude and encouragement to each of you—our athletes, coaches, parents, and supporters—for your commitment to excellence both on and off the field. The work being done within the NOAH Football Program is a powerful reflection of our mission to glorify God through athletics, discipleship, and community.

This season has been a remarkable testimony to what can be accomplished when we lead with Christ at the center. The strength, discipline, and sportsmanship shown by our players are a direct result of the godly leadership demonstrated by our coaching staff and the unwavering support from our NOAH families. Football is more than a game; it is a platform for teaching perseverance, humility, and character—values rooted in Scripture.

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart” (Galatians 6:9). Whether we win or lose on the scoreboard, our ultimate goal is to honor God in everything we do. I see that happening across the board in this program, and I praise the Lord for each of you.

As we continue forward, I ask for your prayers—for protection over our athletes, for wisdom for our coaches, and for unity among our teams. Let us also be intentional about building one another up, encouraging our players to lead with courage, serve with humility, and play with integrity.

Thank you for being part of this ministry. It is a joy and an honor to serve alongside you.
