Vacation Checklist Clean out the fridge. Check/ adjust your heating—Do not switch it off, set it on a low temperature. Take care of your plants. Get unplugging - Turn off all the electric sockets that won’t be in use (eg. kettle). Lock up all the windows and doors—even small windows. Turn on any light timers. Don’t advertise that your property is empty—free timers and window alarms available from the MSH Pod.
Check all the taps have been turned off. Take out all the rubbish & recycling, but don’t leave bins out on the street. Take your valuables with you. Turn on the house alarm—if there is one installed. Inform your landlord and/ or neighbours that the house will be empty.
