Upon arrival, this list will be distributed to your cabin, with an additional form to confirm your attendance. Any included excursions which do not meet your interests can be exchanged with a voucher useable at the same port
Overland tours
An overland tour during the MSC World Cruise is an optional extended excursion that allows guests to leave the ship at one port and rejoin it several days later at another. These tours are designed to explore inland destinations that cannot be reached by
sea, offering deeper cultural and historical experiences. By taking part in an overland tour, guests effectively “skip” a portion of the voyage (particularly the sea days between the two ports) while enjoying unique land-based adventures before returning to the cruise.
Travelling on an overland tour will offer you the unique chance to dive deeper into the diverse cultures and awe-inspiring landscapes of the destinations featured on your itinerary. Overland tours will commence as a collective group, embarking on a journey lasting anywhere from 4 to 7 days, contingent upon the chosen experience.
This journey will involve travelling by either plane or bus, allowing you to discover a variety of landscapes, terrains, and countries. Lodging and dining accommodations will be coordinated for each experience.
For any questions regarding Overland Tours before cruising we invite you to reach out to our Contact Center.
On board you can visit our Shore Excursions Desk located on Deck 6; our Team will be very happy to support you and answer any questions.
For all guests having booked an Overland Tour, please make sure to bring all the necessary travel documents and requirements to avoid any delays, for any enquiries you can contact us by email to: overlandtours.worldcruise2026@ msccruises.com

Excursions Meeting Point, Departure and Duration
Excursions may have multiple departures during the day or on both days for overnight stays. You may be assigned an afternoon departure.
Meeting times and locations, along with your bus number, will be clearly indicated on your excursion ticket. Departure times to leave from the ship and excursions duration are approximate and may vary due to weather, traffic, or local conditions beyond our control. Despite this, it is necessary that you respect the time assigned to your meeting point location. Excursions cancellations or changes to the departure time, duration or program will be promptly communicated on board.
On the day of your excursion, instructions and important details will be provided at the meeting point by our Shore Excursions Staff. We ask that you wait at the meeting point until your group is called, this will help ensure a safe and smooth operation.
Please note that crowded piers or local authority procedures may cause delays.
Excursions minimum and maximum allotments
Excursions have limited seats and can sell out quickly, we recommend booking early, before cruising, to secure your spot and benefit from the best price.
If minimum participation requirements are not met excursions may be cancelled. Should this happen, our Shore Excursions Team on board will let you know as soon as possible and propose other experiences.
Languages
We aim to offer our Shore Excursions in a selection of languages, ensuring you can enjoy your experience with ease and understanding. In certain instances, smaller language groups may be combined to provide the best experience.
In ports outside of Europe, guides may only speak English or the local language. Where guides for other languages are unavailable, tours will be conducted in English.
In some destinations, guides are students who offer fresh perspectives and valuable local insight; however, their level of knowledge or training may differ from European standards.
