OUR VISION

T he Regional Field House is a model for collaborativ e partnerships. The Foothills County and the Town of Okotoks have come together to build this much neede d facility to promote health and wellness excellence. It is a place where communities come together. Nustadia Recreation operates the Field House on behalf of th e Foothills-Okotoks Recreation Society.

We promote healthy lifestyles, physical activity, a nd social connections in a safe, inviting and fun environment.

REGISTRATIONS

Registration can be done online, in person or by phone. Credit Card payment is required at time of registration online and by phone. Credit card, debit and cash is accepted for registrations done in person.

CANCELLATIONS

All classes are subject to cancellation if there are insufficient registrations. Registrants will be notified a soon as a decision has been made to cancel a class. In the case that the Field House cancels a class you will receive a full refund or you may transfer to another class if space permits.

REFUND POLICY

If you withdraw from a camp/program at least 7 days before the start date a $10 cancellation fee per registration will be applied to your refund or credit. No refund or credit will be issued if the withdrawal occurs less than a week from the start date or after a program starts, except for medical reasons (physician’s note required). Withdrawal from programs for medical reasons will be effective from the date of the note and must be received prior to the program end date. Credits can be applied towards another Field House sponsored activity, class, camp or program. No refunds or credits will be applied for withdrawals from pre or post camp care.

WITHDRAWALS

If you withdraw from a class a minimum of 7days before the start date, a $10 cancellation fee per registration will be applied to your refund or credit. No refund or credit will be issued if the withdrawal occurs less than 7 days from the start date or after a program starts except for medical reasons (physician’s note required). Withdrawal from a program for medical reasons after the program has started will be effective from the date of the note and a refund will be provided for remaining classes in the program.

WAITING LIST

If a program has reached its maximum number of registrants, express your interest by adding your name to the waiting list. If a space becomes available or an additional class is added due to the demand you will be notified.

SPORTARAMA (3-5 YEARS)

Your little sports star will stay active and engaged as they explore a new sport each week! From basketball and soccer to t-ball, badminton, lacrosse, pickleball, and even track & field, there’s something for everyone. The focus is on building gross motor skills, learning teamwork, boosting confidence, and most importantly, having a blast while moving and playing together!

BALLS GALORE (3-5 YEARS)

Children will enjoy playing all sorts of sports that include different sized balls. This class will introduce young ones to the fundamentals of basketball, soccer and t-ball. The focus will be on developing coordination and motor skills in a fun and encouraging way.

FIT KIDS (3-5 YEARS)

Not every child loves traditional sports, and that’s totally okay! This high-energy class keeps kids active with creative, age-appropriate games that get their bodies moving and hearts pumping. From going on a bear hunt to rocking out at a dance party, your little one will stay engaged, have fun, and build healthy habits along the way.

LET’S PLAY BALL (3-5 YEARS)

Little ones have energy to spare, and this class is the perfect way to burn it off! SoccerWITH SANTA

Santa is coming to town and he loves soccer! Join us at this festive family event where young ones will enjoy playing soccer with Santa and some bouncy castle action. A Little Elves craft corner, hot chocolate and cupcake decorating will add to the fun. This is a family event and a parent/guardian will need to accompany children. Pre-registration and payment in advance are required. This is a family event, all ages are welcome! Stay and enjoy our Christmas Market happening from 10 am - 4 pm!

The Canadian Red Cross Babysitting course which now has a greater emphasis on first aid skills covers everything from managing difficult behaviors to essential content on leadership and professional conduct as a babysitter. Babysitting promises to deepen and enhance the responsibility that older youth feel when caring for younger children. This updated curriculum, complete with new science, also provides improved learning when it comes to giving the appropriate care in the event of an emergency. Instructor: Angie Jackson

STAY SAFE! (9+ YEARS)

Real world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Canadian Red Cross Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. RESTORATIVE YIN YOGA

The focus of a Yin class is on stretching the connective tissues between your muscles and organs. Props are used to help your body surrender into postures and then hold them for longer periods of time. Most people find this class relaxing yet very effective. Instructor: Shawna Zylstra

CHOREO KICKBOXING

An energetic and dynamic workout that combines choreographed kickboxing routines with cardio and bodyweight exercises, all set to an upbeat and motivational music playlist. This will be a no contact class where no equipment is needed.

Participants can expect a high-energy environment where they will engage in a series of kickboxing moves, such as jabs, crosses, hooks, uppercuts, and kicks, seamlessly integrated with cardio intervals that elevate the heart rate. The choreography is designed to be accessible for all fitness levels, allowing beginners to follow along while providing enough intensity for more experienced participants.

In addition to the kickboxing sequences, the class incorporates bodyweight exercises like squats and lunges. A small portion of the class will also be on the floor as we work to target our arms, abs, and glutes. Remember to bring an exercise mat with you to class and come prepared for an invigorating workout experience!
