It starts with the top riders competing in the Kawasaki MX1 class to the emerging talent in the Pirelli MX2 class, the next generation of Australian motocross talent in the Maxxis MX3 class, and the ever-expanding EZILIFT MXW women’s class.

This season is especially meaningful and exciting for Penrite as we celebrate 100 years as a family-owned, Australian-made brand. Reaching this milestone is something we’re incredibly proud of, and it makes our continued involvement in Australian motocross even more special.
2026 also marks our sixth consecutive year partnering with the ProMX Championship and Motorcycling Australia. Over that time, we’ve seen the series grow stronger each season, with great racing, passionate fans and talented riders across all classes.
Motocross has always been close to the heart of Penrite. Supporting the motorcycle community – from grassroots riders to professional racers – is something we truly believe in. Our motorcycle and bike care products are developed with riders in mind, and we’re proud to play a part in helping the sport continue to grow.
It’s also great to see the Ezilift MXW class creating more opportunities for female riders to build their skills and compete at a professional level.

This is our fifth year as the ‘presented by’ partner for ProMX, and we are thrilled to be onboard again this year.
For AMX, we’ve always lived and breathed motocross. From our beginnings in 2008 selling clearance motocross gear out of a shed in Bayswater, Victoria, to today with 46 stores across five states and an ever-growing team, motocross is in our blood. The sport provides the opportunity for everyone to enjoy motocross, from spectators to riders to industry sponsors like us, we just love getting involved and having some fun.

CONONDALE ROUND SEVEN WRAP
Jed Beaton put the crowning glory on a colossal season by wrapping up the 2026 Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) with a round to spare in Conondale on July 26.
Holding a handy buffer heading into the penultimate round of Kawasaki MX1 action, Beaton (Monster Energy CDR Yamaha) kept his powder dry on the beautifully prepared Green Park track, with a third place in moto two enough to build an unassailable lead in the championship.
After two runner-up MX1 results in the last three years, and his promising 2025 campaign coming to a shuddering halt after a broken leg, Beaton is now the premier class champion for the first time – adding to his MX2 success in 2016.
“Unbelievable, I’ve been waiting a long time for this so to put it together this year is brilliant,” said Beaton.
“It’s been an unreal season and I’m just super happy to get it done. Hats off to the team, which has been behind me through thick and thin which is what makes this feel so much better.
“We’ve also had some terrible luck over the last two years but it’s all come together in 2026. To come back from that injury (last year) and get it done is unbelievable.
“Also, thank you to my brother Ross, my fiancé Holly and my mum. Unfortunately, my dad is not here, so that’s a tough one.”
Beaton’s teammate Aaron Tanti (2-2) was the overall MX1 winner in round seven, while the moto victories were shared by Honda Racing
Australia teammates Nathan Crawford and outgoing champion Kyle Webster.
Webster and Tanti are now level on points in equal second, setting up a grandstand battle for silver and bronze at the Queensland Moto Park (QMP) finale on August 1-2, while Alex Larwood, Hayden Draper and Lachlan Turner are holding the balance of power in the Pirelli MX2, Maxxis MX3 and Ezilift MXW classes.
KAWASAKI MX1
Beaton had already punched out a remarkable body of MX1 work – 11 wins out of 12 motos – ahead of Conondale, which meant that round seven was more about playing it smart than pushing the boundaries.
And the Victorian’s response was textbook, with his 3-3 scorecard enough to leave Conondale with an unbeatable 61pt (335 to 274) championship lead over Webster and Tanti.
It was also Yamaha’s fourth win in the last six years of MX1 competition, following on from Luke Clout (2021), Tanti (2022) and Dean Ferris (2023).
After Levi Rogers (Caloundra Motorcycle Centre Yamaha) came
out on top in MX1 Superpole, the heavy hitters reasserted their authority in the two 25-minute plus a lap motos, with Crawford leading most of the way in the opener from Tanti, followed by Beaton, Webster and Ryan Alexanderson (Penrite Empire Kawasaki). It was Crawford’s first MX1 victory in Honda colours.
Todd Waters (Raceline Husqvarna TDUB Racing), Rogers and Rhys Budd (Motocoach Elite Racing Honda) completed the top eight.
The second moto was a more pulsating affair, with Tanti again setting the fastest lap but it was Webster who had more late speed to win by 0.862 seconds.
Beaton and Crawford were third and fourth from Alexanderson, Budd, Zachary Watson (KTM Factory Racing) and Waters.
Crawford (232pts) and Waters (199pts) are likely to finish fourth and fifth in the MX1 title unless QMP delivers some seismic changes to the pecking order.
PIRELLI MX2
It’ll be all the line at QMP as the Pirelli MX2 title boils down to a spicy intra-team shootout between Honda Australia Racing duo Larwood and rookie Kayd Kingsford.
CONONDALE ROUND SEVEN WRAP
After his 2-1 results at Green Park, Larwood holds a 26pt advantage – but the gap could have been so much closer if Kingsford wasn’t caught up in a melee at the start of moto two. He eventually finished ninth, while Larwood took maximum advantage by claiming his 10th win of the season.
Despite his lowly moto two finish, Kingsford (1-9) still finished third overall in Conondale behind Larwood (2-1) and Dylan Walsh (KTM Factory Racing, 3-2), and ahead of Ryder Kingsford (Honda Racing Australia, 5-4) and Byron Dennis (KTM Racing Australia, 4-6).
The pace was lightning fast in moto one, as agreeable track conditions saw the MX2 top brass set the fastest lap times of the day – with Kayd Kingsford setting the benchmark at 2:07.710. Reid Taylor (Honda) was a DNF in that outing before a brilliant third in moto two, right on the bumper of Walsh.
Walsh and Dennis, who will lead the local wildcard charge in the MX2 class at the MXGP of Australia in Darwin, are equal third in the ProMX standings on 249pts, making for an intriguing bronze battle at QMP.
MAXXIS MX3
While Seth Morrow (Honda) continued his stunning late-season purple patch – a second flawless round in succession to move up to fourth in the standings — it was very much a case of damage limitation for championship leader Draper (Monster Energy WBR Yamaha).
The New Zealander was clearly unwell on race day, but dug deep with 6-3 results – only allowing main championship rival Heath Fisher (Honda Racing Australia, 2-6) to trim his lead by 2pts. Draper is now 20pts (270 to 250) ahead with two motos remaining to
see out the season, followed by Riley Burgess (Boyds Moto Racing KTM, 231pts), Morrow (223pts) and Jackson Fuller (KTM Factory Racing, 216pts).
‘Morrow again had a spring in his step all day, winning the Maxxis MX3 motos by 14 and nine seconds respectively with lap times two seconds faster than the next best. He was joined by different sets of riders on both podiums: Fisher and Burgess in the opener and Hayden Downie (Yamaha) and Draper in moto two.
EZILIFT MXW
American Lachlan Turner (Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha) is clearly a cut above the Ezilift MXW opposition in 2026, prevailing in both the easy and hard way in Conondale.
In the opening moto, Turner won easily ahead of Charli Cannon (Honda Racing Australia) and Taylah McCutcheon (JPM 360 Kawasaki), and in the second she went down and dropped back to fifth.
However, she regrouped and clawed her way back through the field, passing Cannon with three laps remaining to keep her unbeaten run intact.
McCutcheon was again third, while Madi Simpson (Yamaha, 5-4), Darci Whalley (Honda, 4-6) and Emma Milesevic (Yamaha, 6-5) were also prominent.
Turner leads the MXW standings by 34pts (150 to 116) over McCutcheon, while Cannon’s four-year reign is likely to come to an end at QMP. Still riding with an injured shoulder blade, Cannon is on 110pts.

MX1 CLASS
The Kawasaki MX1 class is the top category in ProMX, where the top factory-backed teams and riders compete, representing all the major Japanese and European manufacturers on latest state-of-the-art 450cc four-strokes – including Italian marque Beta for the first time.
In Kawasaki MX1, you’ll get to see the best riders in the nation and international stars who may make a one-off appearance or compete in the entire championship. This only serves to elevate the level of competition and add even more star power.
Leading the 2026 charge in Kawasaki MX1 is two-time defending champion and Motocross of Nations winner Kyle Webster (Honda), who has been pushed to the limit by Jed Beaton (Yamaha) since 2024.
Beaton’s 2025 season was ultimately cut short by injury, as he dropped back to fourth behind Nathan Crawford (KTM) and Wilson Todd (Honda).
The leading quartet all returns in 2026, and will be joined on the MX1 starting gates by multiple champion Dean Ferris (Kawasaki), Todd Waters, 2023 champion Aaron Tanti (Yamaha), Zachary Watson (KTM), Cody O’Loan (Beta) and Bryce Ognenis (Yamaha), as well as a new generation of young guns eager to show their skills in the premier category.

In 2025 the ProMX Championship will welcome back the hotly contested Pirelli MX2 class, a stepping stone for young riders on the path to professional racing. This class allows riders as young as 15 to compete on machines ranging from 122-250cc: the perfect place for young talent to showcase their skills and make their mark.

MX3 CLASS
The Maxxis MX3 class is the stepping stone for juniors to advance to the senior ranks of nationallevel racing. It caters for riders aged 14-U18 who can race on machines with a capacity ranging from 122150cc two-stroke and 200-250cc four-stroke.
This class also offers exceptional riders the chance to move up early to the Pirelli MX2 class at 15, aligning with international age groupings.
The Maxxis MX3 serves as an entry point for both privateer racers and manufacturer-backed team riders to learn the ropes of professional racing and get accustomed to the style of racing, schedules, and track conditions.
The objective of this development class is to equip riders with the skills and knowledge needed to make a smooth transition and embark on a successful career in the MX2 class.

The crafty veterans are coming out to play!
The 2026 ProMX Championship finale at Queensland Moto Park will feature a return of the popular Vets (MXV) classes for the 30-39 and 40plus age divisions.
Both classes will be all-powers affairs, with the two motos to be run over 15 minutes plus a lap.
Plenty of Aussie motocross (and a few from other disciplines as well) stars from yesteryear who still enjoy the thrill of the hunt ae among the 35 entries, in what are expected to be wide open affairs – although Luke Weaver (Husqvarna) will fancy his chances in 30-39 category after falling just short in 2025.
They are going to be hotly contested motos, although some riders may be running on empty by the end of them!

KTM GROUP MX65 FUTURES
KTM Group Australia is proud to continue powering the next generation of motocross racers by presenting the MX65 Futures class at three rounds of the 2026 Australian ProMX Championship.
For the third consecutive year, KTM, Husqvarna Motorcycles and GasGas will unite to support the exciting class, with rounds already held at Gillman (May 10) and Appin (June 14) ahead of the Queensland Moto Park (August 1-2) finale.
Open to riders aged 9 to 12 on any brand of 65cc motocross bike, MX65 Futures provides a stage for young talent to showcase their skills and compete for glory.
Each round will crown a winner, with an overall series winner to be celebrated at the final round.
Participants will enjoy an immersive race team experience, including guided track walks, exclusive access to KTM Racing Team and Raceline Husqvarna Racing Team riders, and an MX65 Futures goodie bag.
This unique opportunity allows young racers to experience professional-level motocross racing, helping them prepare for the 2026 KTM Australian Junior Motocross Championship in Mooroopna, near Shepparton (Vic), from September 28 until October 3.
Ryder Madafiglio is the current MX65 Futures leader ahead of Hudson Francis and Ollie Cale.

The Ezilift MXW class is the premier women’s motocross competition in Australia. With participants who are at least 15 years old and riding on machines of 125cc or higher, MXW has produced many talented champions who have also made their mark internationally, including Charli Cannon, Meghan Rutledge, Maddy Brown, Emma Milesevic, Jess Moore and Danielle McDonald.
The 2026 MXW championship promises to be highly competitive, which includes the return of reigning champion Cannon who will be put under the blowtorch by reigning American champion Lachlan Turner (Yamaha) making her full-time debut.
After breezing through the last four MXW championships, Cannon’s battle with Turner carries huge anticipation –with the duo then set to continue the budding rivalry in the 2026 American title.
Then there’s the other ProMX regulars such as Taylah McCutcheon (Kawasaki), Taylor Thompson (KTM), New Zealander Karaitiana Horne (Kawasaki), Madi Simpson (Yamaha), Dari Whalley (Honda), Mia Tongue (Honda), Leah Rimbas (KTM) and Emily Lambert (GASGAS).

The 2025 RACESAFE season was full of thrills and spills which kept the RACESAFE Medical Team busy at ever y event. PROMX CHAMPIONSHIP TELEVISION PACKAGE FOR 2026
Penrite ProMX Championship presented by AMX Superstores (ProMX) fans won’t miss a minute of the action in 2026 with SBS to continue as the official broadcast partner of ProMX.
ProMX will again enjoy live free-to-air coverage on SBS and streaming platform SBS On Demand across all eight rounds of the 2026 ProMX Championship.
SBS On Demand allows viewers to tune into ProMX live on mobile devices, smart TVs and browsers, with catchup viewing available for those who miss the live coverage.
Every round of ProMX will be broadcast live for three hours, with all the action to be delivered by the ProMX TV team of former motocross stars Danny Ham and Lee Hogan.
