What should you know about Greg? He is an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan and alumni, and gym rat still trying to attain lofty goals. He has been married to llona for 29 years, has one daughter and two grandchildren ages 2 and 6. In his free time he enjoys golfing. Greg’s career in real estate is defined by one word: leadership. At every stage of his time in any office, be it in residential or commercial, he continues to be a compass for those who need unwavering guidance. What you may not know is that Greg holds a catalogue of real estate designations including his ABR, GRI, E-Pro, SFR, ACP and AHWD. He was not always a real estate titan as he is today. Once upon a time Greg was in the hospitality industry which explains his approachability, people skills and adaptability. But in 1990, Greg sought out a career in real estate for a better work life balance. Beginning at Baird and Warner in 1994 at the Mount Prospect location, Greg began his life’s work: developing lifelong business connections and sustainable business opportunities. Fast forward to 2006 where Greg found himself at one of the most pivotal points in his career which was the move from residential sales to real estate management. The timing was unique to say the least; shortly after the change the real estate bubble of 2008 burst and Greg was faced with guiding agents through the most difficult housing market collapse of our time. His steadfast demeanor was forged in the fires of a global economic collapse. Fast forward once more to 2018 where Greg joined the infamous Toastmasters program to fine tune his public speaking abilities. And the rest is history. Greg has been involved with Mainstreet ever since. From Professional Standards to Government Affairs to the Board of Directors, Greg has seen and done it all with Mainstreet. He also serves on multiple Illinois REALTORS® Committees, NAR Committees and is a current NAR Board Member. Greg considers himself a life-long learner and is committed to the idea that no leader is ever finished improving their management aptitude. He plans to bring this attitude to his time as president for all our members and communities we serve.
