taneous and energizing theatre experience for audiences of all ages,” an OSAC media release stated. Improvisation drives each performance, with actors adapting to students’ reactions and choices. Organizers say it keeps audiences engaged while fostering creativity and confidence. Both productions on this year’s tour are available in English or bilingual formats, with a narrator able to incorporate French at a level suited to each school’s needs. year across Canada, the United States, and internationally. The group is no stranger to Saskatchewan audiences, having previously toured with OSAC, most recently in 2018. “This was an amazing performance. We loved the way the actors interacted with the students by choosing students to play key parts. The humour was amazing — some for the students and some for the adults,” a testimonial from Fairview School in Swift Current noted. OSAC, which has been connecting communities with arts programming for more than 50 years, works with schools and local arts councils in more than 80 communities across Saskatchewan. Its school touring program reached nearly 17,000 students and teachers during the 2024–25 season alone. School-based performances are not open to the general public, but those interested in attending are encouraged to contact OSAC in advance to make arrangements.
