Make Weston Favell Shopping Centre your destination this summer holiday with Dino-Shore Adventures, a free programme packed with family-friendly activities. Winwick Hall has lots of family shows scheduledthisseason
Visit Winwick Hall this summer for an array of exciting and family-friendly events. There are live performances being hosted at The Folly Theatre, such as Alice in Wonderland on Sunday 19th July and A Night at the Musicals on Saturday 22nd August. There’s also the classic car rally on the grounds on Wednesday 19th August too. Proceeds from these events support the important work of the Bruce Green Foundation. The biggest event of the season takes place on Saturday 12th September for the return of Winwick Hall’s outdoor cinema, where the Bruce Green Foundation presents The Wizard of Oz. This summer, Delapré Abbey is bringing an exciting programme of family-friendly events to Northampton, including a mix of music, theatre, film, and storytelling in one of the county’s most beautiful and historic settings.
Music lovers can enjoy a fantastic line-up of music festivals in July, including FixFest, Made in the 80s, Five, and Zimfest, bringing everything from nostalgic favourites to vibrant performances to the historic grounds.

Summer at Lamport Hall
Lamport Hall have teamed up with Kids in Museums and Blyton Books to create a fun, free heritage trail for children and families to enjoy in the 2026 summer holiday.
‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ Museum Adventure celebrates Enid Blyton’s much loved children’s book series, which inspired the recent hit family film, and sees children adventure to magical lands.
Aimed at children around 7+, this fun spotter trail invites children and their families to explore some of the different worlds of the Magic Faraway Tree. Activities include prompts designed to spark conversations about objects children have encountered on their visit, plus fun drawing and writing activities.
Open every Wednesday-Friday, 10am-4pm from Wednesday 29th July until Friday 14th August, the trail is free to complete. Accompanying adults will each need to purchase a garden ticket (£11), children under 11 years go free, and garden tickets for older children 11-16 years are £6 each.
On Friday 7th August at 4.30pm, join Pitch Up Theatre, and jump down the rabbit hole with Alice and her friends, to experience a fresh take on a classic story with an exciting new theatre show, Wonderland. Use your imaginations and become a part of this wonder filled Wonderland adventure!
