Job Descrip7on: The primary func4on of this posi4on will plan, organize, develop, and coordinate the implementa4on and execu4on of the Nursing Home Maintenance and Custodial Opera4ons. This posi4on is responsible for providing safety and sanitary measures in accordance with current federal, tribal and local standards, guidelines and regula4ons. This posi4on will be responsible for maintaining the best possible appearance of the building, structures, u4li4es, and grounds of the Nursing home. Manages employees by planning, evalua4ng and assigning work; seLng priori4es and preparing schedules of comple4on of work.

• High school diploma or GED is required. A.A.S. Degree/Diploma in related ﬁeld preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Educa7on, Experience & Qualiﬁca7ons:

• Must be knowledgeable of boilers, compressors, generators, etc. as well as various mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.

Must communicate effectively with all of the Tribe’s stakeholders; both within and outside of its organization.

• Must be knowledgeable in building codes and safety regula4ons.

•

• Must be able to liW, push, pull, and move equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of ﬁWy (50) pounds.

Must be able to operate a computer and use common office software such as Outlook email exchange, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.

•

Minimum of two years grant writing or an Associate degree in business, finance, government administration, or other related field is required.

• Must have a valid South Dakota driver’s license. Must submit to a P.L. 101-630 background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. The Tribal Housing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the maintenance of houses, oﬃces, infrastructure, and common areas that are owned and managed by the FSSHA consistent with applicable FSSHA policies, Federal regula?ons and Tribal ordinances.
