Loading your bike on your car means two choices: haul it up to the roof, or place it on the rear. And while either way may get you where you’re going, there are some pretty good reasons why Saris opted to focus on racks that sit behind you instead of above you.
1. Out of sight, out of mind Setting your bike on a roof rack can lead to some interesting “you’ll never believe what happened” moments. From drive-throughs and tree branches to your own garage, a moment of forgetfulness can do a real number on both car and bike. By focusing on products that sit behind you we ensure that your bike stays in your sightline. And when you’re away from your car, a variety of locking options make sure your bike is still there when you get back. 2.
