ROBERT PLANT: SCULPTEUR ROCK’N’ROLL
F Après plus de 50 ans de carrière, Robert Plant élève encore sa voix. Un timbre comme un sanctuaire, rodé par les sons du Southside Chicago Electric Blues, d’Afrique de l’Ouest, des Dance Halls de Louisiane, du folk de Greenwich Village et des indulgences hippies de Haight Ashbury à San Francisco. L’ex-chanteur de Led Zeppelin a influencé les plus grands: Freddie Mercury, Axl Rose ou encore Chris Cornell. Il a en parallèle travaillé avec les Strange Sensation, enregistrant
les phénoménaux Dreamland et Mighty Rearranger. C’est à partir de là que les Sensational Space Shifters d’aujourd’hui se sont développés. Ces « conspirateurs confédérés », déforment et détournent, pour mieux faire du passé un présent en technicolor.

Chicago Electric Blues: from West Africa, Louisiana Dance Halls, Greenwich Village Folk, Haight Ashbury’s hippie indulgences or Moroccan medina breakbeat. In parallel, Plant worked with the band Strange Sensation, recording the critically acclaimed, multi - Grammy nominated albums Dreamland and Mighty Rearranger. From this platform, Sensational Space Shifters has developed. Now together these confederates dig deeper, always twisting and turning, bringing the past into a brilliant technicolour present.
