F Exclusivité suisse de cette 49e édition, le duo Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga incarne les rencontres improbables tant chéries par le Festival. L’album Cheek to Cheek est une collection jubilatoire de standards jazz revisités (Ellington, Porter, Berlin…), fruit d’une complicité déjà entamée entre les deux chanteurs sur l’implacable «The Lady is a Tramp», en 2011. Un coup de fil d’Australie: Gaga veut qu’ils s’amusent encore. Ils enregistrent en 2014 la suite de ce ping-pong inédit, 57e album du crooner et cinquième pour l’excentrique diva pop. Lui,
gentleman collectionneur (de duos), swingue avec le sourire dans la voix et une classe impeccablement repassée; elle, c’est l’espièglerie triomphale, le renversement des registres. Nous, on les observe, et on réalise soudain qu’on est de bonne humeur…

In 2014, they record the rest of this unique back-and-forth album, the 57th for the crooner and the fifth for the eccentric pop diva. He is a gentleman and collector (of duets), and swings with a smile in his voice and absolute class; she is triumphantly mischievous, always turning an expectation on its head. We start to watch them, and suddenly the sky doesn’t seem so gray!
