F C’est pour honorer une amitié née à San Francisco en 1965 qu’Al Jarreau avait repris, en 2014, le chemin des studios. Enregistré avec, entre autres, Dianne Reeves ou Marcus Miller, My Old Friend est un disque en mémoire de George Duke, génie des claviers et grande figure du jazz, disparu en 2013. C’est sous les mêmes auspices intimistes que s’annonce son dix-huitième concert au Montreux Jazz Festival. Habitué à déployer les acrobaties virevoltantes de sa voix sous le haut plafond de l’Auditorium
Stravinski ou du Casino, Al Jarreau se produit cette année dans l’écrin plus confidentiel du Club. Une occasion rare de succomber de plus près aux charmes et aux prouesses de son jeu vocal.

Accustomed to deploying the energetic acrobatics of his voice under the high ceilings of the Auditorium Stravinski and the Casino, this year Al Jarreau will perform in the more comfortable surroundings of the Club. This promises to be a rare opportunity to succumb even more intimately to the charms and prowess of his vocal stylings.
