“Greetings, future Broncos! At Montini Catholic, we are proud to provide a high-quality Lasallian educational experience to all of our students. There is truly a place here for all students to excel academically, to grow socially and emotionally, compete athletically, and to grow in their faith. We work hard to maintain our positive school culture and provide our students with authentic and meaningful experiences. Come and visit us sometime soon!”
- Chris Tiritilli, Principal
Montini Catholic High School is a family-centered co-educational college preparatory high school rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus Christ as emulated by our founder, St. John Baptist de La Salle. We are committed to the education of the whole person. Our Lasallian tradition recognizes the sacredness of all persons and educates students of diverse abilities, cultures, and socio-economic backgrounds.
St. John Baptist de La Salle, a French cleric, founded the Brothers of the Christian Schools in the late 17th century. Named the Patron Saint of All Teachers, St. John Baptist de La Salle dedicated his life to providing a well-rounded, Christian education to students of all faiths.
In 1963, the De La Salle Christian Brothers were invited to sponsor and manage a new Catholic high school in the Lombard area, and in 1966, Montini Catholic opened its doors to 217 freshmen.
Today, Montini Catholic has graduated close to 8,000 Lasallians, who are a diverse group of individuals and are lifetime members of one unique community. Our school consists of students from over 105 private and public grade schools in over 57 cities in the Chicagoland area. All faiths are welcomed members of our Montini Catholic family.

Montini students are part of a Lasallian community spanning 80 countries and currently educating over one million students worldwide. Locally, Montini Catholic is a member of the Midwest District of The De La Salle Christian Brothers, which includes three universities and fourteen high schools.
A Lasallian education centers on five interlocking values which are:
• Quality education
• Inclusive community
• Faith in the presence of God
• Concern for the poor
• Respect for all people
A Lasallian education at Montini Catholic means that your calling matters to us. We firmly believe that your high school experience should be unique to your needs. Our Montini Catholic family touches hearts, stimulates minds, and cultivates leadership to prepare students for college, life, work and service.
family is made up of close to
8,000 Lasallian graduates!
After four years at Montini Catholic, graduates are well-rounded men and women, life-long learners and responsible citizens, who are ready to face their college years and beyond.

At Montini Catholic you are an individual. Broncos are respected, accepted, understood and loved - they know they are valued members of our Montini family.

Montini Catholic’s pursuit of academic excellence is reflected in a comprehensive, rigorous college preparatory curriculum.

Our graduation requirements exceed those recommended by the Illinois State Board of Higher Education.
Each year, Broncos excel in ACT and Advanced Placement examinations – far exceeding National and state averages in both testing programs.
Our pursuit of academic excellence is also rooted in our commitment to small class size, individualized scheduling, digital learning and most importantly, engaging classroom instruction. A dedicated and talented faculty immerse students in their daily classroom instruction by utilizing iPad technology as well as traditional instruction methods. With an offering of 47 Advanced Placement and Honors Level courses and 3 Dual College Credit courses, Bronco students are set up for success.
As Lasallian educators, our faculty members are dedicated to knowing their students, knowing how they learn, providing individual attention and helping them reach their full academic potential.
Our graduation requirements meet and exceed those recommended by the Illinois Board of Education for a college preparatory high school.

Last year colleges nationwide acknowledged Montini Catholic’s academic excellence by awarding our graduates over $21.5 million dollars in academic scholarships!

Our academic program paves the way for higher academic achievement resulting in graduates accumulating over $86,000,000 in academic scholarship offers in the past five years alone!

17 AP Exam Options (Sophomores-Seniors);
97 students took 197 AP Exams; 44 perfect scores of 5 were recorded; 168 scores were 3+; Over 85% of the exams taken earned a 3 or better
resulting in college course credit at most universities.
AP Test success rate among Montini students.

A unique feature at Montini Catholic is that we do not place students into academic tracks. Our curriculum allows students to take courses within 4 academic levels: Advanced Placement, Honors, College Prep and Signum Fidei.
Levels are determined by Placement and Proficiency Exam results, grade school records and/or grade school teacher recommendations. (Following our Lasallian mission of inclusive education, Signum Fidei is a selective academic program designed to work with 20 students each year who test below grade level.) All classes are engaging and designed to help students learn at their unique level while preparing them for the demands of college.

Involvement in our student life program is a very important aspect of the well-rounded Montini Catholic college preparatory experience. Participation in clubs, organizations, activities and events enriches the educational experience and is considered an extension of the classroom. Students gain experience and knowledge beyond iPads and textbooks, develop leadership and social skills and make long lasting friendships by participating in Montini’s student life program that features over 30 clubs/leadership opportunities and honor societies and close to 30 activities and social events.
Students are encouraged to further develop their talent and skills in activities that they have a passion for and to “step out” of their comfort zones to experience new things in a friendly, respectful and supportive school community.

It is important to get involved, take rigorous classes, and build rapport with your teachers. Being well rounded will provide you with the most opportunities and means people will be willing to help you at every turn.

Montini played a pivotal role in shaping me into the person I am today. It equipped me with the skills, knowledge, and values necessary to navigate adulthood, pursue my career goals and contribute meaningfully to my community. The relationships I made at Montini were integral to my high school experience and continue to influence my life, shaping my values, goals and interactions with others.
Shaun Hickombottom ‘02 Chief Operating Officer (COO) On Time (Sports) Agency

There were so many dedicated and talented teachers during my time at Montini. Biology is the best course I’ve ever taken, with countless hands-on dissection experiences and knowledge that remained helpful even in college courses.
Albert Holler ‘15 Internal Medicine Resident Physician, Johns Hopkins Hospital
Montini has given me the knowledge and skills to know how to balance both my grades and sports. My years here at Montini have given me an idea of what it takes to be a successful student and athlete.
Estevan Moreno ‘22 Notre Dame Baseball Standout Seattle Mariners 2025 Draft Pick

Montini has always held a special place in my heart and the hearts of my family members. It has made a huge impact on my entire family’s lives and the lives of many students by emphasizing Christian and Catholic values and challenging students to go out and make our world a better place. As an alumna, I experienced firsthand the values, faith, and sense of community that make Montini so unique. Being a Montini graduate and an alumni parent is a true gift.
Shannon Herold Spanos ‘99 Montini Varsity Basketball Coach Montini gave me the foundation to believe I could accomplish anything in life, if I worked hard enough for it. They also provided me support, encouragement and a strong moral compass.
