Dear Max & Mary, Our heartfelt thanks for your efforts over the past many years to make the Monterey Symphony an exceptional orchestra that the communities of the Central Coast of California can be very proud of. You have left us with such wonderful memories of your ‘Great Music Live’ performances, as well as so many other enjoyable times with you and your family. You both are so talented, gracious, and caring—truly a renaissance couple not easily found these days. We wish you great success with your future activities and hope our friendship endures for many years to come.

Don and Paula Lindsay sponsored the first paella party on 4/1/10 and we provided the house. Max foraged through our pantry to find extra “stimulant” (probably vodka) to enhance the sangria! To keep her clothes clean Mary donned a barber’s coat that Russ wore in a barbershop quartet. We recall the time we sailed into the Monterey Bay for a pleasant afternoon of hors d’oeurves and salt air. Max took the helm, and nobody got seasick! 15 years of music, laughter, tears and friendship. With the Maestro at the podium, it’s always been “Symphony to the Max!” With love,
