RONAN — Area farmers and ranchers gathered in the Ronan Community Center for the 44th Annual Agriculture Appreciate Dinner on Friday, March 29. The Ronan Chamber of Commerce hosts the annual event to express appreciation for the positive impact the ag community makes in the local economy. Dinner, prizes, socializing and awards round out the evening. This year, Jack and Susan Lake were named Farmers of the Year. The Lakes accepted the award with plenty of cheer from family and other farmers. “We want to thank everyone for this award,” Jack said, “and we are happy to see everyone tonight.” “We have been putting this on for 44 years, so we just run with it” said Ronan Chamber member Jamie Buhr. “But the most time-consuming part is getting all the food together for the night.”
