OUR FOUNDERS
A designer and a pro-skier - both farmers, Hannah and Hamish Acland started Mons Royale in 2009.
Coming from high country farms in New Zealand, they both have a natural affinity for Merino Wool and the mountains in which the wool is grown.
Hamish’s skiing and Hannah’s design background combined with their farming roots have given the brand an authentic platform to design high-performance Merino apparel for mountain sports. Hannah continues to lead the brand’s design direction with Hamish as CEO.
Their team of two has grown globally to over fifty staff across three offices: Innsbruck (Austria), Squamish (Canada) and Wānaka (New Zealand).
