Willy and Sarah Scurr along with their business partners Jo and Scott Jones run Tuohys Gully, 5,200 hectares of high country in the Cardrona Valley. Tuohys Gully supports positive biodiversity outcomes, including the NZ Falcon project, lots of tree planting, and participation in the Cardrona River Catchment Group to protect water quality. The farm regularly connects with the wider community, working with and hosting groups on-farm.

Mons Royale is proud to partner with Shanghai Challenge Textiles (SCT), an innovative world class manufacturer specialising in Merino Wool. SCT is the first manufacturer in Shanghai to be awarded the new Chinese Environmental Certification.
We have phased out 90% of virgin plastic from our hang tags and accessories, replacing them with recycled and natural alternatives.
99% of all Mons Royale products are transported by container ship which on average has 20 times less CO2 impact than air freight. Apparel brands typically only use airfreight when they are running late. We avoid this by working with our suppliers ensuring we have the lead times to get to our retail partners on time.
This is all about you, the rider and how you wear and care for your garment. Merino Wool is a natural fibre, so wash and dry with care. Use non-abrasive detergents, warm to cool machine wash and line dry in the shade. Due to the natural anti-odour qualities of Merino wool, a Mons garment can be washed less which significantly reduces water usage.

A designer and a pro-skier - both
Coming from high country farms in New Zealand, they both have a natural affinity for merino wool and the mountains in which the wool is grown.
Hamish’s skiing and Hannah’s design background combined with their farming roots have given the brand an authentic platform to design high-performance merino apparel for mountain sports. Hannah continues to lead the brand’s design direction with Hamish as CEO.
Their team of two has grown globally to over fifty staff across three offices: Innsbruck (Austria), Squamish (Canada) and Wānaka (New Zealand).
