Willy and Sarah Scurr, along with their business partners Jo and Scott Jones, run Tuohys Gully, 5,200 hectares of high country in the Cardrona Valley. Tuohys Gully supports positive biodiversity outcomes, including the NZ Falcon project, lots of tree planting, and participation in the Cardrona River Catchment Group to protect water quality. The farm regularly connects with the wider community, working with and hosting groups on-farm.

Use non-abrasive detergents, warm to cool machine wash and line dry in the shade. Due to the natural anti-odour qualities of Merino Wool, a Mons garment can be washed less which significantly reduces water usage.

Our Founders.

A designer and a pro-skier - both farmers, Hannah and Hamish Acland started Mons Royale in 2009. Coming from high country farms in New Zealand, they both have a natural affinity for Merino Wool and the mountains in which the wool is grown. Hamish’s skiing and Hannah’s design background combined with their farming roots have given the brand an authentic platform to design high-performance Merino apparel for mountain sports. Hannah continues to lead the brand’s design direction with Hamish as CEO. Their team of two has grown globally to over fifty staff across three offices: Innsbruck (Austria), Squamish (Canada) and Wānaka (New Zealand).
