MOGENS DAHL CONCERT HALL offers two exclusive halls, discreetly tucked away from the city noise in an atmospheric and romantic courtyard in the heart of Islands Brygge. Raw charm combined with classic elegance.

In the early 1900s, the site was home to the renowned Hertz Printing Company, with its adjoining horse stable in what is today our Concert Hall. Later, a vintage Jaguar workshop and a car painter moved in, until the entire building was fully renovated in 2006 and transformed into MOGENS DAHL CONCERT HALL

Today, our beautiful, atmospheric halls are ready to host joy, celebrations – and your wedding party.

We can accommodate 50–150 wedding guests in each of our two unique halls. Our ROOFTOP terrace and charming courtyard setting also help create the perfect surroundings for one of life’s most memorable celebrations.

When you book your wedding with us, you receive guidance in all the planning and on-theday support you need. From beginning to end. And of course, we are here to help create the perfect setting for your big day, including musical entertainment, if wanted.

THE CONCERT HALL was once the former horse stable of Hertz Printing Company. Today it is a modern wedding venue with high ceilings, excellent acoustics and beautiful natural light that creates the perfect setting for your very special day.

When the sun shines, the most spectacular beams of light stream through the windows, casting a uniquely atmospheric glow across the space.

The concert hall also features a 30 m² balcony and an adjoining foyer with an iconic red staircase and a large glass façade facing the courtyard, where you can welcome your guests.

In the foyer, you can enjoy our Hall of Fame showcasing photographs of the great classical stars and cultural personalities who have performed at MOGENS DAHL KONCERTSAL over the years.

PSST! Rumour has it that the red staircase in our foyer was painted using the very last drops of Jaguar paint from the car painter who once occupied this part of the building. But that might just be a rumour…

PARTY IN A GARAGE

GARAGE was originally a vintage Jaguar workshop. In 2022, the hall was fully renovated and is now a sought-after wedding venue thanks to its unique and exclusive setting.

The exterior is characterised by clean architectual lines and large window panels, while the interior offers a striking contrast of light and shadow, inspired by the area’s industrial past. Perfect for creating a truly special atmosphere for your wedding party.

At the top of GARAGE you will find our ROOFTOP, featuring an exclusive pavilion and stylish outdoor furniture. Here you can host your reception with bubbles and canapés, enjoy your wedding cake and coffee with views over Copenhagen’s rooftops, and sip a drink after dinner.

QUALITY IN EVERY DETAIL

The visual experience, presentation, flavour and service of the food are an essential part of any wedding celebration. Our experienced head chef and sommelier, Peter Ingeberg, leads our kitchen. Together with you and our events team, he creates a wedding menu with excellent wines and almost everything you could wish for.

Ingeberg’s cuisine draws inspiration from French and Mediterranean traditions, with touches of Middle Eastern and Japanese elements. Always with a personal signature and based on fresh, preferably organic ingredients. With us, every menu is naturally tailored to your wedding celebration, the season, and of course the needs of you and your guests.

We know all about the many questions and concerns that can arise in the preparation and plannning of a wedding. That is why we guide you through the most common questions we receive from couples, so you can feel completely at ease from start to finish.

CAN WE HAVE THE WEDDING CEREMONY AT YOUR VENUE?

Yes, absolutely. We can set up for a ceremony in our atmospheric courtyard, on the ROOFTOP, or in one of our beautiful halls.

HOW MANY GUESTS CAN EACH SPACE ACCOMODATE?

In both the Concert Hall and GARAGE, we can seat 150 guests at round tables. For a standing reception, we can host up to 180 guests in each space and in the courtyard.

DO YOU TAKE CARE OF DECORATIONS OR DO WE DO IT OURSELVES?

We are happy to help with the decorations for your wedding party. If you prefer to decorate yourselves, we will do our best to ensure early access to the space, and we are glad to assist with smaller decorating tasks. The tables are always set with white tablecloths, cloth napkins, lights and small flower bouquets.

WHAT ABOUT PLACE CARDS AND MENU CARDS?

We can also help with both place cards and menu cards for the tables if needed.

WHAT ABOUT FLOWERS?

Our halls are very well suited for special floral styling, and we work with several skilled florists who can deliver precisely the look you are dreaming of.

WHAT CAN YOU OFFER FOR GUESTS WITH SPECIFIC DIETARY REQUIREMENTS?

When we plan the menu together with our head chef, we make sure to accommodate your guests’ needs, so everyone has a great experience with both the wedding menu and late-night food.

WE HAVE GUESTS WHO DON’T DRINK ALCOHOL. WHAT CAN YOU OFFER?

We offer alcohol-free sparkling wine, beer and spirits. If you would like alcohol-free wine, we can arrange that as well

HOW LONG CAN WE KEEP THE PARTY GOING?

With us, there is no curfew on how late the music may play, so you are welcome to celebrate until the early hours. Most parties, however, tend to finish around 2–3 am.

HOW ABOUT ACCESSIBILITY?

Both of our halls are located at street level, and there is a lift up to our ROOFTOP terrace. Our courtyard is paved with cobblestones. There are several accessible toilets.

Our pianist always plays as the couple and their guests make their way to the tables.

Our regular DJs know exactly how to read the flow of a wedding party, so you are guaranteed a lively dance floor.

A WEDDING WITH THE RIGHT TONE

How often have you partied with two Steinway grand pianos? We are, after all, a concert hall — so here, you can always sense the music, even when it isn’t playing.

Several times a year, some of the biggest stars of the classical music world perform under our roof, so we are well used to making everything work in perfect harmony.

As a GIFT to your wedding party, we ensure that a pianist plays while you and your guests are being seated, giving you the chance to experience the house filled with music.

Perhaps you are dreaming of accompanying your wedding dinner with the gentle rhythms of soft jazz, or you would like a DJ or a band to set the mood for the rest of the night.

Being a concert hall, we have a wide network and are able to help with most musical wishes you may have, ensuring the perfect atmosphere for your big day.
