Chris Thile is a Grammy Award-winning mandolinist, singer, and songwriter, known for his innovative approach to bluegrass and acoustic music.
Born in California in 1981, Thile co-founded the band Nickel Creek in 1989 and went on to release several critically acclaimed albums with the group. In 2006, Thile formed the progressive bluegrass band Punch Brothers, which has since become one of the most respected and innovative groups in acoustic music.
Thile has collaborated with a wide range of artists, including Yo-Yo Ma, Edgar Meyer, and Brad Mehldau, and has released several solo albums showcasing his diverse musical interests.
