Cut straws into descending lengths-

longer for the lower end of the tree and smaller for the upper end under the pom pom. 2
Use strong glue, attach the straws onto a pop stick, leaving a short length at the bottom as the tree stump and a short end at the top to make room for the pom pom.
Glue a glitter pom pom as the star on the top of the tree and set aside to dry completely for 24 hours.

Lastly, attach a length of twine onto the top of the tree, firmly tying a knot around the pop stick under the pom pom and then bringing the ends together to tie at the top to make a loop for hanging.
