AN ENDURING LEGACY

Mount Morgan’s commemoration of the 110th anniversary of the landing of Australian and New Zealand troops on the Gallipoli Peninsula in 1915 reaffirmed the enduring legacy of the Anzacs. More than 100 people gathered at Anzac Park for the Dawn Service. The park was shrouded in a heavy mist which leant a poignant solemnity to the commemoration. The Dawn Service was followed by the Gunfire Breakfast at the RSL Mount Morgan Sub Branch’s premises in Cornes Street.
