Mr K Vaitheeswaran Advocate & Tax Consultant Mr. K. Vaitheeswaran obtained a law degree from the Madras Law College and enrolled as an Advocate in 1990. He also has obtained Grad. CWA from the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India and has completed ACS from the Institute of Companies Secretaries of India. His legal firm operates with physical offices at Chennai and Bengaluru and provides services virtually across the country. He has 33 years of experience in advisory capacity as well as through appearance before Appellate Authorities, Tribunals and Courts in matters arising under Domestic and International Tax Laws, Excise & Customs, Service Tax, VAT, CST, GST, FEMA, RERA, Company Law and IBC. He wrote the first comprehensive book ‘VAT in India’ when VAT was introduced in 2005 and has also authored books on Cenvat Credit, books for students appearing in the CA Final Examinations. He has written hundreds of articles covering variety of issues in tax, corporate law, constitutional law and general laws in both print and digital media. He has recently authored the book ‘Taxation of Digital Economy’ published by Oakbridge covering international tax and indirect tax aspects of the digital world. He is considered as a specialist in tax and legal matters with in depth knowledge of the business and tax laws. He has addressed hundreds of seminars and conferences on law and taxation across the country and abroad and is the most sought-after legal professional in GST and business restructuring matters. He is an expert in real estate contracts and has recently forayed into Technology Law and Artificial Intelligence. He has been recently appointed as a member of the Advisory Council formed by the Government of Tamil Nadu in respect of GST and other matters. He advises clients across the country on various verticals such as manufacturing sector, retail, health care, food and hospitality, gems and jewellery, media and entertainment, information technology, education, charitable institutions, societies and clubs, logistics, infrastructure, real estate, shipping and aviation, travel and leisure, banking and financial services. He is the Chairman of the Expert Committee on GST, Madras Chamber of Commerce and Industry and also a member of the General Committee of Madras Chamber.
