U.S. Immigration Attorney
Nadadur S. Kumar came to the United States from India 30 years ago on a Rotary Scholarship. He has two master's degrees in economics (one from the University of Minnesota), as well as an M.B.A. from UCLA. He also received his law degree (J.D.) from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to his private law practice which serves clients from all over the world,heworkedattheUniversityofSouthernCalifornia(USC)foralmost 20 years in various capacities including legal counsel on all immigration matters. He also served as an advisor for Indian student associations at severaluniversities.
Mr. Kumar has been involved in pro-bono immigration work and other legal services for South Asian organizations, specifically Hindu Temples and Mosques, throughout the U.S. He is also a founding member of the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California. Admitted to practice in the State of California, he is a member of The American Bar Association, The American Immigration Lawyer’s Association, The National Association for Foreign Student Advisors, The Bar Association for People of Indian Origin, TheTamilAssociation,andTheTeluguAssociationofSouthernCalifornia.
Mr. Kumar resides in Los Angeles and is married to a cardiologist. He and his wife have three children: a son who is a graduate of Yale Law School and has worked for federal courts in the U.S., another son who has completedhisPhDandiscurrentlyacandidateforanM.D.atthePritzker School of Medicine at the University of Chicago, and a daughter who graduated in the Business Administration and Cinematic Arts Joint Program at USC and is currently pursuing graduate studies at Columbia UniversityinNewYork.
