“We often tend to believe that we are more ethical than we are. Part of this problem lies
within
our
“ethical
blindness”-
the
inability
to
notice
the
ethical
aspects
of
decision-making. When ethical blindness occurs, managers tend to make decisions only using a business-frame or a legal-frame, ignoring moral aspects. The failure to visualize moral components in a decision-problem causes even good managers to make bad decisions, at times with disastrous effect, as evidenced in the Space Shuttle Challenger tragedy. There are many reasons for such unintentional unethicalaities – time and social pressures, difficult targets, and implicit biases are some of them.
