Following our Annual General Meeting, we're pleased to introduce the members who have volunteered to lead the Werribee District 4WD Club for the 2026/2027 year
A huge thank you to everyone who has stepped up to help keep our club running strong. We appreciate the time, effort and dedication each committee member brings to the club & a Big thank you to the outgoing Committee members for the hard work over the past 12 months.

About the Club
The Werribee District 4WD Club is a family-oriented club that started back in 1985 to provide members from all walks of life the opportunity to share their passion for four-wheel driving.
The club caters for all levels of experience, from the complete novice, through to the seasoned tourers and hard-core off roaders
The club has a diverse range of members ranging from singles to retired couples.
Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month (excluding January) at the Masonic Hall, 223 Watton Street (Cnr Greaves Street) Werribee Doors open at 7:00pm for a 7:30pm start. Visitors and new members are welcomed.

Club fees now overdue, if you havent paid, you only have till the 31 of july to get your fees paid. At this time all inactive members will be removed. This may affect any vehicle with club regrestration as we need to notify vicroads. st

First forum into 4x4 was as on our 5 acer block in Cooma NSW I liked to tinker with vehicles and a friend had bought a Series 1 Landrover (X Snowy) which he had used on his block till it run out of brakes in 1974, so he dropped it around to me to fix the brakes This was baptism into the vagaries of 4x4
Prior to joining the club Petra and I we're with the RAAF Williams 4WD club and I was with the Scouts 4WDclub as members
I join the club in 2012 and after doing a few trips with the club I was interested in taking up the position of 4WD Vic representative for the club.
I took on this position in 2015 and I've held that position ever since with numerous meetings, costing mid year and end of year activities, reimbursing members for outgoings Attending numerous 4WD Vic meetings around the state as well as presidents days and AGM's both during the week and weekends
I took on the role of treasurer In June 2023 and have been there ever since, In this role we have progressed from wild apricot(WA) as our database and we are now progressing to revolutionise sport(RS).
You may not have seen me on many trips that's because I'm heavily invested in scouts within the Werribee Plains District which is taking up a lot of my time I had to correct this and as you've seen me in last 12 months
I've stepped up to be Santa, as well attending recent trips

Brenda and I have been a memberof the Werribee Club since 2007.In the early days I volunteered for the position of Newsletter editor,then became the FWDV rep for many years until I handed that role to Joe Gross. I became a member of the driver training team and got my FWDV certification during this time. Taking overthe role of DTU and hadthat role until we moved to Ballarat,some 7 years ago On occasionI still ventured from Ballarat to train new members
Some of the arbitrary roles include taking on courses in track classification, running trips, clean up the bush and supporting Parks Victoria on the club's behalf Brenda created the visitor liaison role within the club and held that position for several years During this time she was bestowed thename "Princess", which she throughly deserved
Although I have not taken a leadership role within the committee, I was an active member within this committee for some years.
My personal legacy for the club, is that I created, made and named the "Bugger Award". I believe we have earned our stripes within the club and hereby formally request to be honoured with a lifetime membership
