Kate Sloss Lives in Highbury (London) Age 60 Librarian at The London Library Walking through books in the London Library Looking at a book in the library It ended up really positive because just before the menopause I got fibroids, it completely resolved the fibroids. I’d had 3 years of very difficult times. So for me it was a very positive thing. I had a pretty easy time (of the menopause). A few hot flushes, but I normally feel the cold so they were very positive. I looked forward to them in bed as they kept me warm! The only negative thing for me was having fibroids grow in the years leading up to my menopause - I think this is a common time for this to happen. It made my menstruation excessively heavy to the point of getting anaemia and having to stay at home and tough it out.
