I had the horrific night sweats and not sleeping and then it calms down and disappeared. I couldn’t talk about it, I felt silenced. I haven’t got kids but I see my nephews as the next best thing. I know me mama had a really bad time - she suffered night sweats and had to shower through the night. The only reason I knew about it was because of that - because it’s not talked about in society. It’s just brushed under the carpet. I’m in this team at work and everybody in the team is menopausal. We’ve got the fans on, and we laugh about it but it’s an age thing. We call it “club 50,60” and we can at least talk about it with each other.
