Boot Leather, rubber, 20th century
This is an example of one of a pair of sea-boots that would have been worn by fishermen on their expeditions. They are made of leather, sourced from cowhide. From the 1930s the fishing industry largely turned to rubber boots. The accompanying photograph shows a fisherman wearing a similar pair of boots.
