Summer Events
Our monthly Zoom prayer meeting takes place on the 3rd Thursday of every month at 7pm. You would be most welcome to join us.
Throughout July & August, MA will be present at Summer Madness, New Horizon and Bangor Worldwide. We encourage you to be praying for each of these events and for the people who attend, that they will be able to fnd ways to partner with organisations and be part of His story.
10:02 Prayer Movement
The 10:02 Prayer Movement is a global movement built around Jesus’ words in Luke 10:2; ‘the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.’ Each day at 10:02 am or pm, people pause to pray that God would raise up more people to share the Good News of Jesus around the world. It’s a simple reminder that even a quick prayer can be part of something much bigger — people are obeying the call to ‘go and make disciples’ and lives being renewed and changed across the world. Will you join us in praying that God would stir hearts for the urgent need across the continent of Africa?
Give thanks with us for our Celebration on 20th June, when both longstanding and new supporters gathered together to rejoice in God’s goodness and faithfulness throughout this past year.
NIGERIA
Gaiya Family - Give thanks with the Gaiya family for their period of Home Assignment (June & July) and for the many opportunities to connect with prayer partners. There are many encouragements and blessings.
The Gaiya’s will be travelling throughout July & August, pray for safety and particularly as Musa visits Liberia mid July for two weeks teaching; Pamela and Gracie return to Nigeria at the end of July.
Gracie resumes school 5th August. Give thanks for the Lord’s help in every way.
Pray for good health and strength for the Gaiya family.
Ibia Family - Give thanks for how the Ibia’s have been able to build relationships within Royal Ambassadors School. Many leaders will be entering their fnal. Pray for them as they begin to think and plan the year ahead.
The Ibia family will be home for several weeks in August and September. Pray that their time at home would be fruitful and encouraging as they seek to share about their work and continue to build their support network.
Janet Martin - Praise God that the Christian staff at Holley Memorial Hospital were greatly encouraged by the frst ever Pastoral visit by the Chairman of the United Evangelical Church (UEC), Rev. Daniel F. Anjorin.
Pray that what Rev. Anjorin has seen and experienced may result in increased support of HMH by UEC to help it to become once again the centre of loving care and spiritual outreach to the needy community around.
Ekanem Family - Praise God for Godwin’s life, though he had a stroke, God intervened to prevent any visible damage. Pray for Gail too as she recovers from the stress.
July 9th is Ikot Ekpang Outreach. Pray God’s impact as Godwin shares his testimony, combined with medical outreach. Pray for Hossana, Umana and Jim as they continue the Outreach in Godwin’s absence on 10th August.
Pray for Angel as she completes her 3rd term examinations in July.
Pray for Godwin and Angel as they hope fy to Ireland on 23rd July for a period of Home Assignment.
Child SponsorshipGive thanks for each child on sponsorship as they fnish the school year. Remember Innocent and the team as they prepare and begin teaching the new Bible Education Services materials over the summer.
Nixon Family - Pray for Mark and Achele as they plan and pray through the opportnities they have to serve together. Pray for wisdom and discernment and that God would be in the centre of all their plans
Remember the college in Ankpa as it’s struggling to recruit students for the incoming year. Pray that God would be stirring in the hearts of potential students with a real desire to study God’s Word deeper.
Fulani Ministry - Praise God for His faithfulness in sustaining David & Agnes Onouche in ministry. Pray for continued strength as they serve among the Fulani and prepares for retirement from the UEC Missions Department in 2031.
Remember all those travelling to Kenya this summer on teams, electives, and placements. Pray that their time serving would be fruitful and meaningful and that they would make a positive and lasting impact on those they serve.
IVORY COAST
Ana van Brakel - Ana has now completed her fnal semseter of teaching. Give thanks for the women who have put so much effort into learning their memory verses, that they have all reached the average needed to pass.
Praise God that the frst batch of Megavoice Audio Bibles were given to Beloved Daughters Rescue Centre. Pray that as the girls in the centre hear God’s Word in their own language, that they would each learn to trust in Him as their Lord.
Pastor Peter KamauPray for those in GracePoint to be faithful to His calling. Pray also for wisdom and discernment when seeking out new church plant opportunities
Join Ana in praying for the Children’s Camp happening over the summer. Pray for wisdom as they plan the material but also that God would be preparing the hearts of the children who will attend.
Ana will be on Home Assignment for 6 months from the middle of July. Pray that all the hand over and preparations for coming home will go smoothly and that Ana will feel a real sense of peace when leaving.
Morrison Family - Give thanks with David & Lucy that another mission is planning to take on the Acacia ministry. This is a real answer to prayer. Continue to pray for a smooth transition of all of the admin tasks needed to hand over.
Give thanks for the provision of accomodation and transport for the Morrisons as they return home to Northern Ireland. Pray for the Lord’s help as they ‘re-enter’ life in NI.
Pray that Association Gamaliel is successful in re-registering with the government. Pray also for preparations for the AGM 2-6 September. Pray that God would reignite them with passion and love for the spiritually lost children.
Pray for greater effectiveness in teaching the Bible courses and a greater engagement in prayer by local Burkina Churches. This is primarily a spiritual ministry for which prayer is essential.
SCOTLAND
Pray for Robbie & Margaret as they travel to various events and confernces throughout July & August. Pray for those who will attend these events too that they would become involved in going, giving or praying.
GENERAL
Pray that God would stir hearts with a deep, lasting passion for longterm mission. Pray that people would not be afraid to say ‘yes’ to the call of ‘go and make disciples of all nations.’
Pray for ongoing discernment for the Council (Board) as they face the challenges of steering MA in an ever changing world and courage to make the necessary decisions as the Lord leads.
Pray for the offce staff throughout July & August as they each take some time off on annual leave. Pray that this would be a time of refreshment both physically and spiritually for each of them.
Pray for the Lord to stirr hearts to respond to the need and current MA opportunity of making young disciples in Jos, Nigeria.
