When designing this year’s winning card, artist Leia Matt tapped into her yearning to step away from the screen and return to tactile artistry. “As I longed for a slower, more focused process, papercutting felt like the perfect medium,” she says. “It’s precise, it’s quiet, and it’s naturally suited to clean, graphic forms.”
