THE ANNUAL MEETING TBD MARCH 2027 | REGENCY EVENT CENTER The Minot Area Chamber EDC Annual Meeting is an evening gathering of member investors and other special guests to reflect on the most recent year of accomplishments and milestones in the community, to look ahead to the coming year, and to hear from a featured keynote speaker. PRAIRIE WARRIOR AUCTION APRIL 1, 2027 | ND STATE FAIR CENTER The Prairie Warrior Auction is a longstanding community tradition bringing together business leaders, residents, and military members for an evening of live and silent auctions, food, and entertainment. Proceeds support squadron initiatives and morale-boosting programs at Minot Air Force Base. A portion of the funds will also support Operation Homebound, which helps first-term Airmen travel home during the holiday season. In 2026 the Prairie Warrior Auction raised over $135,000 to support Airmen at Minot Air Force Base — a new record for the event.

NATIONAL CIVICS BEE APRIL 16, 2027 | MINOT STATE UNIVERSITY The National Civics Bee brings middle school students from across the Minot area together to put their civic knowledge and ideas for stronger communities to the test. Students begin by submitting essays about issues that matter to them, with finalists advancing to a live competition featuring rounds of civics questions and presentations before a panel of local judges. Winners proceed to a statewide competition to earn the chance to compete nationally in Washington, D.C. The National Civics Bee encourages young people to understand how their communities work, think thoughtfully about local challenges, and see themselves as future leaders and engaged citizens.

CITYWIDE SPRING CLEANUP MAY 7 & 8, 2027 The Citywide Spring Cleanup brings businesses, organizations, military members, students, and community volunteers together to help Minot look its best heading into summer. Participants roll up their sleeves to clean city entrances, areas around local businesses, and other highly visible locations. The result is a cleaner, more welcoming community for residents and visitors alike. Whether by direct sponsorship or by committing to clean, supporting this event is a highly visible, hands-on way to invest in community pride while aligning your organization with an initiative that brings people together to make an immediate, noticeable difference.

MILITARY DAY IN THE PARKS JUNE 17, 2027 | OAK PARK In partnership with the Minot Park District, the Minot Area Chamber EDC hosts Military Appreciation in the Parks to say thank you to the men and women who serve our country. The event is anchored by enjoy a free lunch buffet in Oak Park. Volunteers proudly serve lunch to hundreds of local military members and their families. Yard games and informational booths add to the lively and welcoming atmosphere. In addition, those with military IDs can enjoy free access for the day at various Minot Parks facilities, weather permitting. In 2026, Roosevelt Park Pool, Roosevelt Park Zoo, and the Maysa Arena offered free access to military families.

DINNER ON THE PRAIRIE AUGUST 3, 2027 Agriculture is big business in North Dakota — generating over $30 billion in economic opportunity and more than 110,000 jobs. Dinner on the Prairie is a farm-to-table event to connect consumers with farmers, ranchers and agriculture experts that fuel that economic engine. At this invite-only event, guests enjoy a meal of North Dakota-grown products and share conversations about food and farming to advance community partnership between businesses, the public, and farm producers while fostering agricultural awareness. The event is invite-only and free of charge to those in attendance.

MILITARY GOLF SCRAMBLE AUGUST 16, 2027 | BEOWULF GOLF COURSE The Military Affairs Golf Scramble is hosted by the Minot Area Chamber EDC Military Affairs Committee. It’s an opportunity for the community to treat military members to a day of golf at Beowulf Golf Course; for every team that registers, a team of four military personnel is able to participate in the scramble at no cost. All proceeds from the event benefit the Airmen of Minot Air Force Base. Donations for prizes for the tournament are always welcome.

NUCLEAR TRIAD SYMPOSIUM SEPTEMBER 24, 2027 | ARMY & NAVY CLUB, ARLINGTON, VA The annual Nuclear Triad Symposium is an event hosted by Minot's Task Force 21 features senior military officials, congressional leaders, policy experts, and defense industry executives for a day of timely discussions on nuclear deterrence, defense innovation, and the future of U.S. strategic forces. The symposium is a cornerstone convening of leaders shaping national security decisionmaking. SHOWCASE OF BUSINESS TBD NOVEMBER 2027 | ND STATE FAIR CENTER Each year, the Minot Area Chamber EDC hosts the Showcase of Business, a themed networking event that gives area businesses the opportunity to highlight what makes them unique. The event features 70 member investor booths, food, a cash bar, and more. Sponsorship of the Showcase of Business includes passes to the event, along with booth space. Businesses are encouraged to show off their creativity by decorating their booth to match the theme of the event, which changes from year to year. The 2027 Showcase of Business theme has not yet been announced. Stay tuned for details!

MILITARY AFFAIRS JANUARY - DECEMBER 2027 Throughout the year, the Minot Area Chamber EDC supports our local military community in various ways. Financial support and sponsorships make the following programs possible: OPERATION HOMEBOUND Operation Homebound is an initiative to send first-term Airmen home over the holiday season. Since launching in 2023, funds raised as part of Operation Homebound have supported airfare for more than 350 Airmen to travel to their hometowns in November and December of each year. ADOPT AN AIRMAN First-term Airmen enrolled in the program are not only new to the Air Force, but many are far away from home, family, and friends for the ﬁrst time. The Adopt an Airman program fosters supportive relationships between Minot community members and Airmen who are just starting their Air Force careers. TEAM MINOT COOKIE DRIVE Each year, freshly baked cookies are collected from the base and community to distribute holiday cheer to Airmen.

EAGLE AWARDS PRESENTED MONTHLY | ANNOUNCED ONLINE There's an old saying in management: "Don't send your ducks to eagle school." There are a lot of ducks in the world, and very few eagles. Eagles can handle a variety of tasks and/or problems, and go out of their way to be helpful. Eagles make customers feel special, and keep them coming back. No problem is too great; they love the challenge. Each month the Minot Area Chamber EDC honors "eagle" employees in the Minot area who have been nominated by customers for their outstanding customer service. We present these awards during monthly ceremonies — and share each employee’s story online. Eagle Award Facebook posts are among our most successful content each month, typically earn 80,000 to 100,000+ views.

Start Up Minot Academy powered by CO.STARTERS is a 10-week cohort-based program with the goal of giving fresh minds the tools, insights, and relationships needed to succeed in implementing their business idea. JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT IN MINOT AREA K-5 CLASSROOMS DURING SCHOOL YEAR This economics-based program is an opportunity for business leaders to teach young people the importance of the free enterprise system. Volunteers go into the classrooms of teachers who request to have Junior Achievement curriculum taught in their class. The curriculum lasts one hour a week for five weeks, and helps mold young people into smart consumers, credit savvy and ready for the real world. Money used for this program goes towards purchasing the kits needed to teach 100+ classes in grades K-5 in Minot public and private schools. This program is in its 30th year at the Chamber EDC. Grade level programs include: Kindergarten: Wants/needs, how to save money 1st Grade: Families, wants/needs 2nd Grade: Our community, elections, mass production 3rd Grade: Planning a City 4th Grade: Our region and the economy 5th Grade: Our nation and the economy
