What is a planned gift? A planned gift is one that you decide on now yet in most instances, actually give later. Common examples include a bequest to a charity in your will or a beneficiary designation on your life insurance policy. Some planned gifts have the potential to create tax savings. Others can conserve your assets and form a part of your overall financial and estate planning.
What is the Musical Legacy Society? The Musical Legacy Society is the way the MSO says “thank you” for your generosity to future generations. When you make a planned gift, and provide the MSO with your Statement of Intent, enrollment is automatic. Even when your gift is anonymous, you still enjoy the benefits of membership.
Can I direct my planned gift to my favorite area of the MSO? Yes! The best way we can say “thank you” is to ensure fulfillment of your charitable focus. Whether you wish to support the MSO’s ongoing artistic and organizational quality or a special interest area (MSO educational programming, endowment, etc.), our commitment is to focus on what is most important to you.
How can I be sure my musical legacy will achieve my desired impact? Planned giving is a confidential process that requires thoughtful consideration and careful handling of your private information. Speak with us in confidence, or anonymously if you prefer. We will ensure the accurate documentation of your philanthropy.
To discuss any aspect of planned giving, please contact Shannon Rolbiecki, Director of Individual Giving.
