CREATIVE TEAM Kelley Faulkner Director/Choreographer Kelley has directed and/ or choreographed several recent productions in the Stackner Cabaret: The Last Five Years, Nuncrackers, Nunsense, My Way, The All Night Strut!, and Murder for Two. As an actor, Milwaukee Repertory Theater favorites include Come From Away, The Coast Starlight, Things I Know to Be True, Titanic, Ragtime, Cabaret, and the title role in Always... Patsy Cline (twice!). Last summer, she adapted and directed Much Ado About Nothing and The Taming of the Shrew for Optimist Theatre’s Shakespeare in the Park, and this summer, she served as the associate director and choreographer for Ring of Fire at Peninsula Players Theatre. BIOS (CONT.) Libby Carroll Assistant Stage Manager Libby is elated to be back at Milwaukee Rep for a third season! Fred Ebb Lyricist Fred Ebb (April 8, 1933 – September 11, 2004) was an acclaimed American lyricist best known as one-half of the legendary songwriting team Kander and Ebb. He earned degrees from New York University and Columbia University before teaming up with composer John Kander in 1962. Their first show together was Flora the Red Menace (1965), produced by Hal Prince, directed by George Abbott, co-written by Abbott and Robert Russell, and featuring the Broadway debut of Liza Minnelli. Over their extraordinary career, Kander and Ebb created landmark stage musicals including Cabaret (1966), The Happy Time (1968), Zorba (1968), 70, Girls, 70 (1971), Chicago (1972), The Act (1978), Woman of the Year (1981), The Rink (1984), And the World Goes 'Round (1991), Kiss of the Spider Woman (1992), Steel Pier (1997), Fosse (1999), The Skin of Our Teeth (1999), and The Visit (2001). In addition to their work on stage, the duo wrote and produced material for live appearances and television specials for star performers including Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera. Two of their greatest stage successes, Cabaret (1972) and Chicago (2002), were adapted into major award-winning motion pictures. Ebb passed away following a heart attack at his home in New York City. John Kander Composer John Kander (born March 18, 1927) is an acclaimed American composer best known as one-half of the legendary songwriting team Kander and Ebb. He graduated from Oberlin College and began his Broadway career as 18

the rehearsal pianist and dance arranger for Gypsy. His first produced musical was A Family Affair, co-written with James Goldman and William Goldman. In 1962, he teamed up with lyricist Fred Ebb to write Flora the Red Menace, produced by Hal Prince, directed by George Abbott, co-written by Abbott and Robert Russell, and featuring the Broadway debut of Liza Minnelli. Since then, Kander and Ebb have been closely associated with writing material and producing special projects for both Minnelli and Chita Rivera across live performances and television. Two of their celebrated stage successes, Cabaret and Chicago, were adapted into major motion pictures. Scott Ellis Conceiver Scott is an American stage and television director. He has directed numerous Broadway and Off-Broadway productions, including revivals for New York City Opera at the New York State Theater. He is a five-time Tony Award nominee for Best Director and won the 1991 Drama Desk Award for And the World Goes 'Round. Ellis serves as the Associate Artistic Director for Roundabout Theatre Company and received an Emmy nomination in 2007 for his work on the comedy series 30 Rock. Susan Stroman Conceiver A five-time Tony Award-winning director and choreographer best known for The Producers, Crazy for You, Contact, and The Scottsboro Boys. Her honors include Olivier, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, Lucille Lortel, and six Astaire Awards. Broadway credits include Oklahoma!, Show Boat, The Music Man, and Young Frankenstein. She directed and choreographed The Producers (winner of a record 12 Tony Awards), The Merry Widow for the Metropolitan Opera, and ballets for New York City Ballet. An Associate Director for Lincoln Center Theater, Stroman is the recipient of the George Abbott Award for Lifetime Achievement and an inductee of the Theater Hall of Fame. susanstroman.com

Mark Clements Artistic Director Mark is an award-winning international theater director whose work has appeared at 100 theaters throughout Europe and the United States. Since becoming Milwaukee Rep’s Artistic Director in 2010, he has directed more than 30 productions, including world and American premieres; his adaptation of A Christmas Carol; and all but two mainstage musicals, including Run Bambi Run, Titanic the Musical, West Side Story and Dreamgirls. His introduction of musicals to the mainstage created a tradition that remains a season highlight. Previously, Mark served as associate artistic director for several UK theater companies and Artistic Director of Derby Playhouse, where he directed more than 40 productions. He has earned an Olivier Award nomination, UK Theatre Award nominations and three Barrymore Awards. He is adapting Ayad Akhtar’s novel American Dervish for the stage. Chad Bauman Ellen & Joe Checota Executive Director Since joining Milwaukee Rep in 2013, Bauman has led a period of exceptional growth, eliminating debt, more than doubling the annual budget and endowment, achieving consistent operating surpluses, and growing net assets from $16 million to $111 million. He has raised more than $108 million through four capital campaigns and opened the Associated Bank Theater Center, the nation’s largest regional theater complex to open in a decade. Previously, at Arena Stage, he helped open the Mead Center and worked on acclaimed Broadway transfers. His honors include BizTimes’ Community Leader of the Year and Nonprofit CEO of the Year. A doctoral candidate at UNC–Chapel Hill, he also holds an MFA from CalArts and completed leadership programs at Brown University and Harvard. THE WORLD GOES 'ROUND
