Creating Custom Solutions
AT ZUERN, THE CABINETRY TEAM CAN CREATE STORAGE FOR ANY ROOM, SIZE OR UNIQUE NEED.

LAST YEAR, ZUERN BUILDING PRODUCTS and Design Center made a major move. The family-owned design company, with a sevendecade history in Southeastern Wisconsin, acquired Wood Specialties Inc. – a long-running custom cabinetry business. With that acquisition, Zuern launched its new custom cabinetry division, filled with expert designers and skilled craftsmen.
Custom cabinetry from Zuern is far from cookie-cutter. Zuern’s cabinetry team works with clients and builders from start to finish to achieve each client’s vision. “When a new client comes in to meet with us, it’s a very comfortable, family-type atmosphere. We get to know them and get to know their wants and needs,” says Michelle Priewe, an expert cabinet designer at Zuern. “By the time somebody leaves the meeting, I feel like we’re both excited to work with each other through the process of building their home.”
Zuern’s custom cabinets are designed to fit the exact space customers need with no size limitations. CNC machines are used for high-precision cuts eliminating the need for extra fillers. The customization options are vast. Customers can build to order, choosing from a wide range of wood types, casing, base and crown profiles, door styles and paint colors. Whatever the room or style, Zuern’s new custom capabilities mean the team can create savvy storage solutions for any need.
Priewe recalls one craft room project she designed last year – Zuern built custom storage units for wrapping paper, cabinets that accounted for extra trash cans, and craft paper storage. “We created all the exact little nooks and crannies that client needed,” Priewe says. “We have a lot of people come in with their Pinterest boards, their inspiration, and we can always accommodate what they need.” ◆
