On the slopes in Japan The trip to Japan left on the last day of term and they are currently skiing in Shiga Kogen near Nagano, the site of the 1998 Winter Olympics. Everyone is sampling the delights of the local cuisine, learning the language and being surprised by the differences between cultures, such as heated toilet seats and a macaroni and cheese shrimp burger at McDonald’s! They are finishing their trip by travelling back to Tokyo with visits planned to the snow monkeys, a river cruise, the Zenkoji temple, sushi making and the allimportant Harajuku shopping street.
