E’loron #99 Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Resource Center, Inc., hosts '1st Annual Black Tie Gala Fundraiser'

On Saturday, September 24, 2022, E’loron #99 Sickle Cell Anemia Awareness Resource Center, Inc., hosted its "1st Annual Black Tie Gala Fundraiser," at Aria Banquet Hall, 5444 W. Fond Du Lac Ave. The event was a fundraiser to help raise awareness of sickle cell anemia and help raise funds for the resource center to continue to spread awareness of an illness that affects millions of people worldwide. The theme for the evening was,“Fighting for You (Exodus 14:14a)"; and the keynote speaker was Dr. Stephanie Findley, Board Vice-Chair for the non-profit corporation The Findley Foundation, Inc. E'loron was founded by Bennie J. Morris, Sr., after losing his oldest sister, Lola in 1993 and his youngest brother, Aaron in 2019, both to sickle cell. Findley Foundation hosts pop-up clinic for COVID-19 vaccination and booster shots On Saturday, September 24, 2022, the Findley Foundation, which operates the Findley Medical Clinic, hosted a public pop-up clinic that provided free COVID-19 vaccinations and booster shots, at Ascension Fellowship Church, 2429 W. Hampton Ave. The Pfizer, Moderna and Novavax vaccines were provided to men, women and children at no cost or insurance required and without an appointment. Families also can receive vaccinations, booster shots and more at the Findley Medical Clinic, 10721 W. Capitol Drive, Suite 110, in Wauwatosa. The clinic has provided more than 6,600 COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters thus far. The clinic tries to accommodate walk-ins, but appointments are encouraged by calling 414988-3079. Health insurance is not required to receive treatment. In addition to COVID-19 vaccines, other services provided by the clinic include primary care, urgent care, case management, behavioral health, medication management, family planning, laboratory services, food resources/pantry, housing resource, vocational training and more.
