Greater Milwaukee Urban League hosts 'Leaders Lead Up' On Friday, March 24, 2023, the Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) hosted "Leaders LeadUp™," a new online social community and learning platform for women of color in the region. The event was held at the University Club of Milwaukee, 924 E. Wells St. “Greater Milwaukee Urban League is dedicated to providing and supporting opportunities that empower communities and change lives. We are thrilled to partner with Leaders LeadUp™ to kick off this important platform and the support it gives to women pursuing opportunities and excellence,” stated Dr. Eve M. Henry David Thoreau School celebrates Women's History Month by empowering and promoting women and girls On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Henry David Thoreau School families and the community celebrated Women’s History Month. This month is dedicated to reflecting the often-overlooked contribution of women and girls around the world. At Thoreau School, they learned about current issues affecting women and girls, also to discover ways to help empower them worldwide. Thoreau School appreciates everything and they gave special thanks to all the women who volunteer and help the school all year long. On Wednesday, March 22, 2023, Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) hosted thier annual "Poetry Slam" at the MPS Central Services Auditorium, 5225 W.
