THERE WILL BE ONE 15 MINUTE INTERMISSION

It’s hard to believe, we are wrapping up our season celebrating Tuacahn’s first 30 years! As Southern Utah’s beautiful winter settles over this stunning red rock canyon, I am in awe of all that has transpired in this magnificent space. Just considering the natural wonders that shaped these mountains is enough to give one pause. But when I think of the growth we’ve seen in the last 30 years as a theater—from Tuacahn’s inspired, but more humble beginnings, to the spectacular productions that grace our stages night after night—there are just so many stories to share.
This season we’re concluding our wonderful season with our brand-new winter/spring show slot starring a melodic feast of epic proportions in Million Dollar Quartet. It’s not often you get to enjoy the unparalleled musical contributions of Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis, all in a single show. Trust me—this intimate stage in the Indoor Hafen Theatre is going to be on fire!
But if you thought the first 30 years at Tuacahn were something, get ready for the next 30 and beyond. At Tuacahn, we are so proud of the quality we provide; truly it is second to none. As a unionized theater, both backstage and onstage, we bring Broadway-veteran actors together with regional talent, world-class directors and scenery and special effects that can’t be executed anywhere else, at a price that is roughly one-third of many national tours.
Perhaps even more remarkable are the memories we are helping to create for families. And our upcoming season continues to offer all that greatness, featuring Les Misérables, Grease, Disney & Pixar’s Finding Nemo: A 70-minute Family Musical, Holiday Inn and The Play That Goes Wrong. There’s something in it for everyone! We think you’re going to love it!
Here’s to the next 30 years!

Sincerely,
Scott S. Anderson Producing Artistic Director

appearing with numerous acts on stages across the country. His musical upbringing shaped a deep passion for American Roots Music and led him and his family band to Memphis, TN, where they competed in the International Blues Challenge, earning third place in 2023. This is Isaac’s fourth time playing the role of Brother Jay , and he’s excited to bring audiences a wild night of rock n’ roll and fun. He has been playing and portraying Johnny Cash for years now, but this production is extra special to him because he grew up in part around the corner in Ivins, right in the shadow of the Big Red Mountain! It was in the red sands of Utah’s Dixie that his love for Johnny Cash first took root. From his small tribute concerts in college at BYUH, Michael has gone on to perform in MDQ’s across the U.S., as well as Ring of Fire, and other productions. Most

recently returning from the Chicago area where he starred as Cash in Marriott Theater’s Million Dollar Quartet Christmas, and nearby Paramount Theater’s Million Dollar Quartet in Aurora IL. Shari performed the role of Ulla and every other female role in Mel Brooks’ The Producers on the Broadway National Tour as well as the Las Vegas production with Tony Danza and David Hasselhoff. JASON GRANT (Production Manager) holds a BFA in Theatre from the University of Louisville and an MFA in Theater Management and Production from Yale University. He has worked with respected theater companies and venues across the country, translating artistic visions into productions that open on time and run smoothly. Known as the calm in the storm—and occasionally being the storm when needed— Jason specializes in solving problems before they reach the stage. His work ranges from managing union crews and wrangling flying sets to handling last-minute lighting changes and vanishing props, all with a spreadsheet in one hand and coffee in the other. With a background that blends technical expertise and project management, Jason is often described as part technician, part therapist, and part time traveler (making deadlines appear out of thin air is a specialty). Outside of the theater, he enjoys long motorcycle rides on open roads, especially after a long tech week.
TROY MCGEE (Technical Director) started his Tuacahn career performing on stage, first in

’08 with Odyssey Dance Theatre’s Thriller, then in the ’09 Tuacahn Broadway season. When he came back the following season, he would spend time in between rehearsals helping out as a carpenter in the Scene Shop. He continued performing and helping build sets until, in 2017, he became the Scene Shop Foreman. After the birth of his first child, he left that position and returned to performing. During the ’23 Tuacahn season he was pulling double duty as he took on the position of Assistant Technical Director while performing in the shows at night. He is excited to take on the position of Technical Director where he can combine his experiences both on and off stage to help guide the design and build of the shows. Moreover, he is grateful for the incredible teams and people he gets to work with every day, whose hard work is truly what breathes life into the productions.
