Dear Friends of Mill River Park,

As we look back on 2025, we are grateful for all we’ve accomplished together Mill River Park continues to thrive as Stamford’s shared backyard, a place for connection, play, learning, and community Every visitor, volunteer, donor, and board member helped build joyful memories that brought our community together

A major milestone was the opening of the Sue McGraw Friendship Playground, an inclusive space where children of all abilities can explore, climb, and create lasting memories Beyond the playground, the Park was alive with activity Summer concerts, movie nights, and festivals brought neighbors together, with many events offered free of charge Volunteers and staff planted new trees and native plants, strengthening our ecosystem Whittingham Discovery Center programs, summer camp, field trips, and after-school activities provided thousands of children with handson learning experiences. Cleanups and community events celebrated Stamford’s diversity and fostered connections

Looking ahead, Mill River Park will continue to grow as a center for learning, recreation, and community We plan to expand educational programs, offer more free public art, fitness, and cultural events, maintain and beautify the Park, and develop the Community Commons along Washington Boulevard, featuring trees, lush gardens, dog parks, shaded greens, and new gathering spaces.

Only with your support is all of this possible. Join us in shaping the next chapter of Mill River Park by making a fully tax-deductible year-end gift to help Mill River Park continue inspiring joy, wonder, and connection for generations to come

“My family recently visited the playground and loved it. The beautiful playground, inspired by local river wildlife, captivated my two sons. ” -Matthew L.
