Dear friends, partners, and readers
On July 15, Ukraine marks Ukrainian Statehood Day — a national observance that reflects our nation’s more than onethousand-year history, the resilience of the Ukrainian spirit, and the enduring continuity of our statehood. It is a moment to reflect on who we are as a nation, the values that unite us, and the future we are building together.
This year, the meaning of this day is especially profound. Every day, Ukrainians demonstrate extraordinary courage and dedication by defending their country’s independence, freedom, and sovereign right to choose its own future. In these challenging times, we have come to value more deeply than ever the importance of unity, responsibility, and the strength of our democratic state.
Ukraine is far more than its borders, symbols, or history. Above all, it is its people—those who educate, heal, innovate, create, build businesses, strengthen the economy, volunteer, and courageously defend our nation. Their determination, resilience, and unwavering commitment inspire the world and ensure that Ukraine remains strong, steadfast, and forward-looking.
On Ukrainian Statehood Day, we honor our rich heritage, take pride in the achievements of today, and look toward the future with confidence and hope. Our greatest strength has always been our people, our shared values, our unity, and our enduring aspiration for freedom.
Above all, we believe. We believe in our defenders. We believe in our nation. And we believe in Ukraine’s Victory.
Because Ukraine is more than a place on the map. Ukraine is its people. Ukraine is family. Ukraine is love. And Ukraine is a future that we will build together—with courage, dignity, and hope.
Best regards,
Svitlana Yarova Director of MILLENIUM CLUB Magazine
In a world where the law is put to the test by reality on a daily basis, those for whom their profession is a responsibility rather than a status symbol are of particular value. Valentyna Grishyna — a regular figure in MILLENIUM CLUB magazine, a lawyer who is once again sharing her professional experience, expert insights and the principles underpinning her activities with our readers. In the time since our last meeting, new challenges have arisen, new professional victories have been achieved and new stories have emerged, proving once again that a lawyer’s true strength lies not only in a thorough knowledge of the law, but also in the ability to find solutions where others see only obstacles. Today, we continue this conversation — about professional responsibility, trust, the modern legal profession, and values that remain constant regardless of the times.
— Valentyna, you have now become a regular guest of MILLENIUM CLUB magazine, and each time we meet, it marks a new stage in your professional journey. What achievements, successes and new insights are you coming back to our readers with today?
— Since our last conversation, my practice has become even busier and more responsible. Today, I work on cases relating not only to civil or administrative law, but also to the protection of the rights of military personnel and their families, as well as inheritance, family and housing disputes. In each of these areas, human destinies lie behind the legal documents, and it is precisely this that gives the profession its special meaning.
For me, the main achievement is not the number of cases won – although they are numerous – but the trust of the people who turn to me for help. The greatest value remains the opportunity to restore justice, even when a client has almost lost hope. It is precisely these results that convince me once again that the legal profession is, first and foremost, a responsibility towards people.
— In your practice, you deal with various types of cases, each with its own specific characteristics and level of responsibility. Which of your recent professional cases has been particularly significant for you and has once again demonstrated that a lawyer’s perseverance can change a person’s life?
— One such case involved defending the rights of a serviceman and his family. Following a state body’s refusal to uphold a lawful right, we analysed all the circumstances in detail, prepared a well-founded legal argument and successfully presented it in court. It was a complex case that required not only knowledge of the law, but also a careful analysis of court practice and the work with a large volume of evidence.
It is precisely such cases that remind us that a lawyer must be not merely a representative in court, but someone capable of finding a solution even when the situation seems hopeless.
— Modern legal practice requires not only a thorough knowledge of the law, but also the ability to respond quickly to changes. What professional challenges do you consider to be the most difficult today, and what helps you to always stay one step ahead?
— Today, the law is changing very rapidly, particularly under martial law. Legislation is constantly being updated, new court practice is being formed, and categories of disputes are emerging that previously did not exist. It is not enough for a lawyer simply to know the law — they must constantly learn, analyse the practice of the Supreme Court, and be prepared to adapt their legal strategy quickly.
It is precisely this continuous professional development, discipline and passion for my work that enable me to remain effective and offer our clients the best legal solutions.
— Over the years of your practice, you have repeatedly demonstrated that a strong legal case is built not only on knowledge of the law, but also on strategic thinking. In your opinion, what is the main characteristic of a truly strong lawyer today?
— In my view, a strong lawyer is not simply someone who knows the most legal provisions. It is a professional who can think strategically, view a case holistically, anticipate how it will proceed, and always act in the client’s best interests.
Honesty, openness and responsibility are no less important. I always tell clients the truth, even if it does not match their expectations. It is precisely this candour that builds trust, without which it is impossible to establish effective cooperation.
— Is there a case that you would describe as your own personal professional victory — not because of its resonance, but because of the experience and personal growth it has brought you?
— Cases like this do happen. For me, the most valuable cases are not those that receive widespread publicity, but those that restore a person’s faith in justice. When a client comes to me convinced that there is no chance of success, and we ultimately
manage to protect their rights — that is what I consider a true professional victory.
Every case like this makes me a stronger lawyer, teaches me to listen more carefully to people, analyse situations more deeply, and appreciate even more the responsibility that our profession carries.
— The legal profession demands the utmost concentration, endurance and emotional resilience. Where do you find the strength to make difficult decisions, maintain your balance and remain effective even during the most stressful periods?
— For me, my source of strength is, first and foremost, my family, who always support me, as well as the realisation that my work genuinely helps people. In addition, I am constantly learning, taking part in professional events and analysing new court practice. For a lawyer, professional development never stops.
It’s also important to be able to switch off from work, even if only for a short while, to keep a clear head. After all, the best solutions often come when you manage to look at a problem from a different angle.
— Looking ahead to the future of the Ukrainian bar, how do you envisage it in five years’ time? What changes, in your opinion, will determine the development of the profession and shape the new generation of Ukrainian lawyers?
— I am convinced that the Ukrainian advocacy will become even more modern, technologically advanced and specialised. Digitalisation is already significantly transforming the legal profession, but at the same time, no technology can replace what matters most — a lawyer’s professional mindset, ethical standards and personal responsibility.
I would like to see the Ukrainian advocacy in five years’ time associated not only with a high standard of legal assistance, but also with the unquestioning trust of society. After all, it is trust that forms the foundation of a profession dedicated to protecting human rights and the principle of the rule of law.

KRISTINA URBA: A FORCE THAT INSPIRES
FROM BUSINESS TO INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION: THE STORY OF A WOMAN WHO CREATES HER OWN RULES OF SUCCESS
There are women who leave a lasting impression before they even begin to speak. Not because of their status, titles, or prestigious achievements, but because of an inner strength that cannot be imitated or concealed. It is reflected in their gaze, their presence, and the confidence that comes only from personal victories and challenges overcome.
Kristina Urba is one of those women.
A modern businesswoman, lawyer, executive director of a major agricultural company, entrepreneur, philanthropist, mother of two, and a woman firmly convinced that true success begins not with a career or public recognition, but with the ability to remain honest with oneself.
Today, her name is associated with professionalism, responsibility, and a new generation of leadership. She oversees large-scale operations, makes decisions that impact hundreds of people, develops businesses, and supports social initiatives. Yet what is most remarkable is not the list of her accomplishments, but the way she has managed to preserve her femininity, openness, and authenticity in a world that often suggests success requires becoming tougher.
«I have never aspired to be like anyone else. My main goal is to remain true to myself under any circumstances. That is what gives me the inner freedom and strength to move forward,» says Kristina. Her life story could easily become the subject of a book on female leadership. It includes risks, difficult decisions, disappointments, significant victories, and a constant drive forward.
Yet Kristina herself does not view hardships as heroic achievements. To her, they are simply part of the journey.
A journey that taught her one essential truth: no external circumstance can stop a person who knows exactly why they are moving forward.
She began her professional path by building her own real estate business. Over time, she expanded her horizons by combining entrepreneurship with legal practice and the management of largescale agricultural projects. Her professional reputation was built not on bold declarations, but on consistent work, discipline, and responsibility.
Today, Kristina is among those leaders who are respected not only for their expertise but also for their humanity.
In times of global transformation, these are precisely the leaders who become the most valuable. They know how not only to manage processes but also to unite people around shared values.
Yet if you ask Kristina about her greatest achievement, she will not mention business, executive positions, or international projects.
She will speak about her children.
About her daughter and son, who have become her greatest source of inspiration.
About the responsibility of being an example for them. About the desire to show them that success is not about money or status. It is about living in harmony with oneself and having the courage to pursue one’s dreams.
«My children taught me to see life differently. They remind me every day why it is worth working, growing, and becoming a better version of myself.»
Perhaps that is why her image so naturally combines the confidence of a leader with feminine grace.
Strength without aggression.
Leadership without arrogance.
Success without the need to prove anything to anyone.
A new chapter in Kristina’s life began in 2025.
That was the year she represented Lithuania at Mrs. Globe, one of the world’s most prestigious international competitions for accomplished women.
For many, such an achievement might simply become another title on a résumé. For Kristina, however, it carried a much deeper meaning.
Mrs. Globe became a symbol of personal transformation.
A place where women from different corners of the world come together — leaders, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, community advocates, and mothers whose work contributes to the development of society.
It is here that one truly realizes that modern femininity has long ceased to be merely an outward image.
Today, it is about courage.
About responsibility.
About the ability to inspire.
About remaining true to oneself, even when life continuously tests one’s resilience.
«Mrs. Globe reminded me that we should never limit ourselves with boundaries. We are capable of far more than we think. We simply need to allow ourselves to believe it.»
On the international stage, Kristina represented far more than a country.
She represented the image of a modern woman who refuses to choose between career and family, between success and femininity, between ambition and humanity.
A woman who creates her own balance and defines her own rules for life.
Today, she continues to develop business ventures, support community initiatives, engage in philanthropy, and invest in personal growth.
She is particularly passionate about human psychology, emotional maturity, and women’s selfrealization.
Kristina firmly believes that the future belongs not to those who speak the loudest about themselves, but to those who are willing to keep learning, adapt to change, and remain faithful to their values.
In a world where success is often measured by numbers, Kristina Urba reminds us of something far more important.
That true leadership is born from character.
That beauty begins with inner confidence.
That femininity and strength do not contradict one another—they complement each other.
This is why Kristina Urba’s story extends far beyond business or career achievements. It is the story of a woman who has not only achieved success but has proven that the greatest victory in life is the victory over one’s own fears and doubts.
A woman who creates her own balance and lives by her own rules.

Full-scale war has changed the lives of millions of Ukrainians, particularly women and children, who find themselves among the most vulnerable categories of the population. Defending the rights of women who have suffered from war crimes, violence and discrimination has become one of Iryna Odyntsova’s key areas of focus. In her work, she consistently defends the principle that even in times of war, human rights cannot be treated as a secondary concern.
Her many years of experience in the field of international law enable her to deal effectively with issues that extend beyond national jurisdiction. That is why her professional activities are focused not only on resolving specific legal cases, but also on improving the mechanisms for protecting people who have suffered from the consequences of war.
“For me, the law is, first of all, a tool for protecting people. Especially when they face challenges they cannot overcome on their own,” says Iryna Odyntsova. Her colleagues note her principled
approach, strategic thinking and ability to deal with complex issues of international law. The combination of her profound academic training and practical experience enables her to find effective solutions even in the most difficult situations.
Scientific activity also holds an important place in Iryna Odintsova’s professional development. Her status as a Candidate of Legal Sciences enables her to combine practical experience with an in-depth analysis of contemporary legal processes and international trends. This approach facilitates a more comprehensive understanding of the challenges facing society in the field of human rights protection and helps to find effective legal mechanisms to overcome them.
In her work, she pays particular attention to guaranteeing the rights of women and children, who, as a result of the war, require additional legal protection and support. Iryna Odyntsova is convinced that the upholding of the principles of justice, equality and respect for
human dignity is an integral part of a country’s democratic development. That is why she consistently supports initiatives aimed at strengthening legal guarantees, developing international cooperation and implementing global best practices in the field of human rights protection.
At the same time, an important aspect of her professional activities is the development of a culture of the rule of law and international cooperation. She is convinced that the modern world needs strong professionals who are capable not only of applying the law, but also of upholding the fundamental values of democracy, freedom and human dignity.
Today, Iryna Odyntsova continues to work on strengthening legal guarantees for Ukrainian citizens, developing international cooperation and protecting human rights. Her professional career is an example of responsible leadership and professional competence, making her one of those experts who are trusted.
In times when Ukrainian business is tested for sustainability every day, leaders who are able not only to adapt to new realities, but also to inspire others to move forward are of particular value. Oksana Tykhonenko is just such a leader. As the managing partner of the Eurasia restaurant chain, she combines strategic vision, social responsibility, and genuine care for people.
Today, successful management is impossible without the ability to work in conditions of constant uncertainty. For Oksana Tykhonenko, leadership is not only about making decisions and achieving results. First of all, it is about responsibility for the team, supporting people and creating an atmosphere of trust. She is convinced that a true leader should be there for his employees not only in times of success, but also in difficult moments.
Today, Eurasia is not just a chain of restaurants. It is a large team of professionals united by common values. That is why one of Oksana’s main management principles is empathy. She believes that a modern leader must be able to hear people, feel their emotional state, support and help overcome difficulties. This approach allows for the formation of a strong corporate culture, where each employee feels their significance and involvement in a common cause.
Social responsibility occupies a special place in the company’s activities. Since the beginning
of the full-scale war, the Eurasia team has been actively supporting the Ukrainian military, helping people in difficult life circumstances, and participating in charitable and humanitarian initiatives. For Oksana Tykhonenko, these are not one-time actions, but a conscious choice and an integral part of the business philosophy.
Despite the challenges of wartime, economic instability, and changing consumer habits, the network continues to develop and improve. Oksana is convinced that every entrepreneur today fulfils an important mission for the country. Creating jobs, supporting the economy, and paying taxes honestly are a contribution to the future of Ukraine.
Special attention is paid to restaurant guests. Eurasia strives to create a space where people can at least escape from everyday worries for a while, spend time with family and friends, feel comfort and care. The team is constantly working on updating the menu, introducing new recreation formats, and organising family and children’s events that give positive emotions and unite people.
Despite the high level of professional responsibility, Oksana Tykhonenko is convinced that true success is impossible without harmony in her personal life. She pays a lot of attention to her family and considers the balance between work and loved ones one of the main factors of internal stability. It is
the support of her family, her son’s successes and warm family values that help her maintain energy for new achievements.
Speaking about the role of women in modern society, Oksana emphasises: professional realisation should not deprive a woman of her natural strength – the ability to bring goodness, support and light. In her opinion, it is women’s wisdom, sensitivity and inner balance that can create harmony both in the family and in the team.
One of Oksana Tykhonenko’s strongest traits is her ability to see the future even when circumstances seem extremely difficult. She speaks confidently about the future and has a clear vision for the development of both the Eurasia network and her own professional path after Ukraine’s victory. This vision is based on faith in people, love for her work, and the understanding that great results are achieved through daily hard work.
The story of Oksana Tykhonenko is an example of modern Ukrainian leadership, in which professionalism is combined with humanity, and business becomes not only a tool for development, but also a platform for supporting society. It is such specialists who shape the future of the country, strengthen trust and prove that even in the most difficult times it is possible to remain strong, responsible and open to people, PROFESSIONALS WHO ARE TRUSTWORTHY!

VITALII
LAPKOV:
n modern business, it is not enough to create a successful product. The true measure of professionalism is the ability to scale it, build strong teams, and create systems that work regardless of external challenges. This is exactly the path taken by Ukrainian entrepreneur Vitalii Lapkov, head of the Y.E.S Group holding, who has united dozens of catering establishments under his management and created one of the most promising franchise models in the street food sector.

Many years of experience in network management, a deep understanding of the market, and the ability to see promising niches have allowed Vitalii Lapkov to form a business ecosystem that is currently actively developing in several cities in Ukraine and continues to scale even in difficult economic conditions.
Y.E.S Group is not one brand, but a comprehensive restaurant holding that develops several successful directions at once. Its structure includes TM Josper Svintuz, Mavra Pizza, Coffee Art and Azia. Each of these brands has its own concept and audience, but they are all united by a common philosophy: a quality product, clear business processes and high standards of service.
Today, the company manages over 150 establishments of various formats, including 85 Coffee Art coffee shops, over 20 Mavra Pizza pizzerias and the Azia chain of Asian cuisine establishments. Its own production of semi-finished products, sauces and ingredients allows it to ensure stable product quality in all establishments of the chain, regardless of their location. Centralised production has become one of the key factors in the successful scaling of the business.
The Josper Svintuz brand deserves special
attention. It has become the flagship franchise direction of the holding. Its concept is built on a combination of restaurant quality and street food speed. The main feature of the brand is the use of a professional Josper oven, which works on charcoal and gives dishes a characteristic taste and aroma that is difficult to reproduce in traditional fast food. It is this technology that has made it possible to create a new niche between classic fast food establishments and restaurants.
The Josper Svintuz franchise is currently showing assured growth. The chain already has 22 locations, 8 of which operate under the franchise model. The establishments are represented in four cities of Ukraine, and the dynamics of development confirm the high demand for the premium street food format. The secret of franchise success is not only a strong brand. Partners receive full support at all stages of business launch and development: assistance in choosing a location, design project, staff training, process charts, marketing support, CRM system for sales management and centralised product supply. According to the Y.E.S Group team, up to 95% of the necessary goods and ingredients are provided centrally, which significantly
simplifies the franchisee’s operational activities and guarantees stability of standards. The company pays special attention to business process automation. Modern IT solutions allow it to monitor sales, financial indicators, staff efficiency, and service quality in real time. This approach ensures management transparency and creates a reliable foundation for further network scaling.
For Vitalii Lapkov, franchising is not the sale of the right to a brand, but the creation of a long-term partnership. That is why the company invests significant resources in the training, support and development of each new member of the network. This model has already proven its effectiveness and has become the basis of Y.E.S Group’s stable growth.
The story of Vitalii Lapkov is an example of how professional management, strategic thinking and a systemic approach can turn separate establishments into a powerful business ecosystem. Today, Y.E.S Group not only successfully develops its own brands, but also creates new opportunities for entrepreneurs throughout Ukraine. It is such leaders who shape the modern culture of Ukrainian business – a culture of responsibility, development and trust.

trong public institutions are built not only through legislation, regulations, or organizational structures. Their resilience is ensured by people who think strategically, establish effective processes, unite teams, and take responsibility at the moments when the continuity of an institution depends on their decisions. These leaders often remain outside the public spotlight, yet it is their daily work that safeguards the stability and effectiveness of public institutions.
This principle has guided the professional journey of Hanna Rakhalska, a public sector executive with more than twenty years of experience in civil service, who has dedicated most of her career to strengthening the institutional capacity of state authorities. Over the years, she has progressed from serving as a judicial assistant to leading structural divisions within the State Judicial Administration of Ukraine and the Constitutional Court of Ukraine. Her professional expertise encompasses the organization of collegial bodies, optimization of administrative processes, preparation of managerial decisions, digital transformation of document management, and ensuring institutional continuity under conditions of heightened legal responsibility and public scrutiny.
Throughout her career, Hanna’s work has focused not merely on organizing individual processes, but on building systems capable of operating effectively regardless of external circumstances. This approach has enabled the seamless organizational support of thousands of sessions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine and its Grand Chamber without procedural disruptions. She has also initiated improvements to internal workflows, developed proposals for updating procedural regulations, and promoted modern approaches to the digitalization of document management. For her, any transformation is valuable only if it
enhances institutional efficiency while creating transparent, predictable, and sustainable processes.
At the same time, the path of a true leader is not always a continuous upward trajectory. Sometimes, genuine maturity is reflected in the ability to honestly define one’s personal priorities. After the birth of her daughter, Hanna consciously accepted a lower position in order to devote more time to her during the most important years of her childhood. This decision did not represent a retreat from professional ambition. On the contrary, it demonstrated responsibility and confidence in her long-term professional journey. Such choices shape authentic leadership. Not only professional achievements but also personal experience teach a leader to balance principle with humanity, think strategically, and accept responsibility for the consequences of every decision. When Ukraine faced unprecedented challenges, these qualities became just as important as managerial expertise. It is during times of crisis that the true strength of both institutions and the people behind them becomes evident. The full-scale war, workforce shortages, limited resources, and emerging security challenges tested every public institution in Ukraine. Under these circumstances, the primary task was not only to fulfill official duties but also to preserve effective governance, ensure the
uninterrupted operation of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine, and maintain public trust in the institution. Working under such conditions ultimately shaped Hanna’s leadership style— systematic, composed, consistent, and grounded in a willingness to take responsibility for every decision made.
For Hanna Rakhalska, professional growth is a lifelong process. She continuously develops her leadership competencies, studies modern approaches to the digital transformation of the public sector, change management, and institutional development. She firmly believes that today’s leaders must do more than respond to challenges—they must create the conditions under which institutions become stronger, more effective, and more resilient in the face of future change.
For Hanna Rakhalska, leadership is not about position or authority. It is about responsibility for people, processes, and results. It is about creating systems that function regardless of circumstances, supporting teams through the most difficult moments, and ensuring institutional development without compromising public trust. After all, the true value of a leader is measured not by the number of decisions made, but by the ability to preserve the stability of an institution when it is needed most.

HEALTH STARTS WITH A CONSCIOUS CHOICE
n today’s world, where information has become more accessible than ever, the true value is not knowledge in itself, but the ability to transform it into a real result. This is especially true in the health sector, where trust is formed through years of professional practice, responsibility, and continuous development. It is on these principles that Halyna Bilionok, a phytotherapist, pharmacist, nutritionist, entrepreneur, and mentor, owner of the patented herbal network «Green Pharmacy of the Carpathians,» has been building her activities for over twenty years.

Her professional history is an example of the fact that success has no age limits, and a true calling always finds a way to realisation. Before entering the field of health, Halyna worked in various industries – from a cookbaker and work in the Far Eastern Shipping Company to educational activities and the sale of medicinal herbs. It was this life experience that taught her the most important thing –to understand people, their needs and the challenges they face every day.
At the age of forty, she made a decision that became a new starting point in her life. Halyna entered the Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University and successfully received a medical degree. Later, she continued her studies at the International Academy of Management and Economics, realising that a modern specialist must possess not only professional knowledge, but also understand the principles of effective management, business development, and working with teams.
Currently, Halyna Bilionok is a certified nutritionist and expert in the field of Phytotherapy, who constantly invests in her own development. Even in difficult times for the country, she participates in international training programs, professional conferences, and meetings with colleagues from different countries several times a year. This approach allows her not only to deepen her own
expertise, but also to implement modern practices in her daily work.
Entrepreneurship occupies a special place in Halyna’s professional activities. She is the owner of the patented herbal network «Green Pharmacy of the Carpathians» – a project that is the result of many years of work, accumulated experience and a deep understanding of people’s needs in the field of natural health improvement. For her, this is not just a business, but an opportunity to popularise the culture of a responsible attitude to health and high-quality approaches to prevention.
In parallel, Halyna actively develops teams and is engaged in mentoring. She is convinced that today success is determined not only by professional competence, but also by the level of thinking, emotional intelligence and willingness to constantly learn. That is why she devotes a significant part of her activities to training people who seek to develop in the field of health and entrepreneurship.
Halyna Bilionok’s professional achievements are a confirmation of her systematic approach to work. She is a leader-manager of NSP company, a marketing director of the international company inCruises, a holder of the National Certificate of Quality Mark, and a participant in the all-Ukrainian project «Ukraine Begins with You» dedicated to the
Constitution Day of Ukraine.
However, she considers the greatest value of her achievements not to be statuses and awards, but people’s trust. It is this trust that has become the foundation on which her professional reputation, many years of practice, and successful projects are based.
Today, Halyna Bilionok successfully combines expert activity, development of her own patented herbal network «Green Pharmacy of the Carpathians», international partnership projects and mentoring. She is an example of a modern Ukrainian woman who is not afraid to change her life, open new horizons and create opportunities for others.
Her professional philosophy is simple: health begins with a conscious choice. And development, success, and quality of life begin with a person’s willingness to take responsibility for their own future. That is why people trust Halyna Bilionok with their most valuable things — their health, their development, and changes for the better.
BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION IN AN ERA OF CHANGE
ira Ponomarenko is an expert in operational management and HR, with many years’ experience in managing large teams and business processes. Today, she is presenting the consultancy agency FORPOST DEFENCE, which helps Ukrainian companies strengthen their HR security, implement modern management solutions and improve operational efficiency. In an exclusive interview for MILLENIUM CLUB, she discusses this new professional stage, the challenges facing modern business and a systemic approach to companies’ development.
— Kiro, today you are representing your own consultancy agency, FORPOST DEFENCE. You have many years’ experience of managing large teams and complex business processes. What was the key moment that inspired you to transform your expertise into a separate consultancy project?
— The key moment was realising that my experience had long since gone beyond the boundaries of a single company. When you go from day-to-day ‘manual management’ to building a system for a team of over 350 people, you begin to understand very clearly that businesses often fail to scale not because of a lack of ideas, but because of a lack of order in processes, a lack of responsibility distribution and a lack of effective team interaction. FORPOST DEFENCE was created in response to this need — to help Ukrainian entrepreneurs not just put out fires, but to build a secure, systemic, and well-managed business.
— FORPOST DEFENCE combines several strategically important areas: personnel security, military registration, the automation of HR processes, and operational efficiency. How did you manage to develop such a comprehensive approach to solving the challenges facing modern business?
— This approach has formed from practical experience. In the real world of business, personnel security, military registration, HR, automation and operational efficiency do not exist in isolation. If a company’s paperwork is in chaos, this usually manifests itself in its business processes too. If there is no clear structure, motivation, KPIs and the level of responsibility suffer. That is why we take a holistic view of a company’s operations: from people and legal risks to processes, indicators and management decisions.
— Today, Ukrainian companies operate in an environment of constant change and a high level of responsibility. In your opinion, which risks are most often underestimated by business owners, and what consequences might this have for a company’s development?
— More often, business owners underestimate three risks: reliance on specific employees, unregulated processes and weak staff security. Whilst the company is small, this may seem like a sign of flexibility. But such flexibility turns into vulnerability when the business grows or in times of crisis,. The consequences include the loss of key specialists, penalty sanctions, downtime,
inefficient use of the wages fund and an inability to scale up further.
— You have managed teams of over 350 staff members. What management principles and personal values became the foundation of your leadership style?
— My leadership style is based on a systemic approach, responsibility and honesty. I believe that a strong team is not about strict control, but about clear rules of the game. People need to know what they are responsible for, what results are expected of them and how their work affects the company’s operations. For me, it is important not to create the illusion of management, but to build a system that works even when the manager is not overseeing every single process.
— One of the distinctive features of FORPOST DEFENCE is its practice-oriented approach, when the team not only advises but also directly implements changes within clients’ companies. Why do you consider this particular approach to be the most effective for modern businesses?
— Consultancy without subsequent implementation often ends up as nothing more than a pile of nice-looking documents in a folder. Today’s businesses need not just advice, but solutions that can be put into practice. That is why we do not simply analyse and make recommendations — we immerse ourselves in the processes, help to set up the organisational structure, KPIs, procedures and automation, and explain the logic behind the changes to the team. This is how real results are achieved, rather than just a formal strategy.
— How do you see the future of Ukrainian business in the coming years, and what skills do you think will be crucial for companies seeking to grow and remain competitive?
— I believe that the future of Ukrainian business lies with flexible, systemic, and responsible companies. Those who can adapt quickly, work with data, automate routine tasks, look after their people, and build transparent management models will be the ones who remain competitive. Nowadays, it is no longer enough simply to be a successful entrepreneur. You need to become the architect of a system that can withstand change, risks and scaling.

ALINA NEFEDOVA:
‘BEAUTY
WITHOUT FILTERS: HOW MODERN COSMETOLOGY CHANGES AND HOW WOMEN VIEW THEMSELVES’
t a time when social media dictates standards of ideal appearance on a daily basis, more and more women are consciously choosing not artificial perfection, but healthy, well-cared-for skin and natural beauty. It is precisely this approach that is shaping the new philosophy of modern cosmetology, which Alina Nefedova has been embodying in her professional practice for over 23 years.
With a medical education and her own studio in Karlovy Vary, Alina Nefedova helps her clients not only to improve their appearance, but also to learn how to correctly care for their skin and understand its needs. Over the years, she has witnessed how trends have changed: whereas women used to strive to meet fashionable standards, today they increasingly value naturalness, harmony and a healthy appearance.
In her work, the cosmetologist is convinced that the foundation of beauty is healthy skin. No amount of make-up can replace an evenly toned face, a natural glow and a wellgroomed appearance. That is why the guiding principle of her work is a comprehensive approach, individually chosen procedures
and a regular home skincare routine, which together ensure long-lasting and natural results.
Alina pays particular attention to a personalised approach. She is convinced that there are no universal solutions, as every skin type has its own features. That is precisely why it is important not only to carry out the procedure, but also to help the client develop a sensible skincare routine, avoiding common mistakes when choosing cosmetics or blindly following advice from social media.
At her 45, Alina demonstrates through her own example that modern cosmetology does not hide one’s age, but helps one look wellgroomed, fresh and natural. She is convinced that regular skincare, professional guidance and taking good care of oneself are the best investment in beauty for years to come.
Today, beauty without filters is no longer just a trend, but a new culture of attitude towards oneself. And it is specialists like Alina Nefedova who help women reveal their natural beauty, emphasise their individuality and look at their reflection with confidence.
Trust is an equally important part of Alina Nefedova’s work. For her, every client has her own unique story, and true results are measured not only by changes seen in the mirror, but also by an inner sense of confidence, comfort and self-love.

— Mrs. Vita, what does being an independent forensic expert mean to you?
— For me, independence means the ability to work not in the interests of any particular side, but for the sake of establishing the truth. In my work, I am guided solely by objective data, legislation and research findings.
An expert opinion is an independent source of evidence, so the responsibility is extremely high. The law provides for criminal responsibility for a knowingly false conclusion, but professional ethics are no less important. I am aware that court decisions and people’s fates may depend on the quality of my work.
— How does your many years’ experience help you when carrying out expert analysis?
— Twenty years of professional experience have taught me to see not only the numbers, but also the economic logic behind processes. Accounting has shaped my systemic thinking, auditing has given me critical analysis skills, and economic analysis has taught me how to identify cause-and-effect relationships and hidden risks.
It is often the small details, which others overlook, that become the key to a well-founded expert conclusion.
— How important is it to remain a completely impartial expert?
— Impartiality is the foundation of trust in a forensic expert. If emotions or personal sympathies appear in an expert’s conclusion, it loses its value. In our profession, only evidence matters.
My task is to transform complex economic calculations into clear and legally sound arguments. I always remember that today I am an
instrument of justice, and this instrument must be as accurate and objective as possible.
— When should businesses or citizens turn to a forensic expert?
— Ideally, this should be done before the dispute escalates into protracted court proceedings. It is advisable to engage an expert in the event of financial disputes, suspected fraud, corporate conflicts or doubts regarding the correctness of accounting practices.
An expert opinion is not merely a document. It is conclusive proof that helps shift the dispute from the plane of emotions to that of facts, and often enables the conflict to be resolved even before court proceedings begin.
— In your opinion, what forms the basis of trust in a forensic expert?
— Trust is built up over the years. It arises when an expert consistently adheres to the law, works within the scope of their competence, and takes responsibility for every word in their opinion.
My professional reputation is based on three principles: legality, integrity and responsibility. I never draw conclusions without a proper evidential basis or contrary to objective data. It is precisely this principled approach that underpins trust.
Forensic economic expertise is a field where it is not assumptions but facts, professional knowledge and an impeccable reputation that are of decisive importance. Many years of practical experience, independence, responsibility and uncompromising adherence to the law have made Vita Kostiuk a trusted expert. After all, true expertise begins where every conclusion is backed by evidence, and every decision is based on professionalism and the principles of justice.

VIKTORIIA ZAKHARCHENKO:
PARTNER IN LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT AND NEW MANAGEMENT CULTURE
odern business is increasingly investing not only in technology or strategy, but also in the development of people, especially those who are taking on responsibility for a team for the first time. It is at this stage of professional growth that Victoriia Zakharchenko, an ACC ICF coach and an expert in the adaptation of new leaders, is currently focused.
Her story is an example of how many years of experience can be transformed into a new profession without losing one’s own essence. For over twenty years, Victoriia worked in the field of human resources management, having gone from a psychologist to a human resources director. During this time, she accompanied hundreds of career stories, watching how young specialists became managers, directors of directions and even headed large Ukrainian companies.
It was then that she noticed some regularity: the first management position often becomes not only a professional achievement, but also a serious psychological challenge. The new level of responsibility, the need to make decisions, build authority, and form relationships with the team are often
accompanied by doubts, anxiety and internal tension.
Victoriia has acquainted herself with coaching back in 2009 while working at the Azovstal steel plant in Mariupol. Studying at Erickson College International and receiving her first diploma from the school’s founder, Marilyn Atkinson, marked the beginning of a professional path that later defined a new direction for her career.
Throughout her career in HR, coaching tools have remained an integral part of her work — from creating individual development plans for young managers to building personnel development systems in companies. Therefore, the transition to professional coaching was not a change of profession, but a
logical continuation of many years of practice working with human potential.
In 2024, coaching became Victoriia’s main profession. Today, she is an ACC ICF certified international coach and has over 250 hours of coaching practice. Her key specialisation is supporting professionals who are transitioning from the role of expert to the role of leader.
In a world where leadership is increasingly associated not with a position, but with the ability to inspire, develop, and lead people, Victoriia Zakharchenko’s experience is of particular value. After all, a true leader is formed not at the moment of appointment, but in the process of internal transformation, which is important to undergo consciously and confidently.
NATALIIA ZAIETS:
“LEADERSHIP BEGINS WHERE READY-MADE SOLUTIONS END”
ver twenty years in retail, Nataliia Zaiets has gone from creating new business lines to strategically managing large-scale companies. — Nataliia, your professional path is not just about career growth. This is the story of a person who has repeatedly created new directions practically from scratch, scaled the business, and launched large projects. Looking back, what was the moment for you when you realised that you were no longer just managing processes, but shaping the future of the business?
— This happened when we started creating our own brands. In fact, it was a startup that eventually turned into the famous Ukrainian brand Songer und Söhne. It was then that we realised that we were no longer just working in the market, but shaping it, setting trends, creating new standards and influencing consumer choices.
— You have a lot of experience under your belt by creating the Deco and Textiles directions, launching your own brands, developing e-commerce, and scaling retail chains. What decisions have been the most significant in your career?
— Oddly enough, the most important decisions were the changes in the place of work. Fifteen years at Epicenter were a whole era of my professional life, where many large-scale projects were implemented. But it was the decision to move on that gave me the opportunity to realise my own potential. The new environment, new challenges and responsibility opened up completely different horizons of development and became a powerful impetus for professional growth.
— In your opinion, what is the main competitive advantage of Ukrainian retail today: technology, team, or the ability to change quickly?
— Of course, the team and the ability to quickly adapt to changes. These concepts are inextricably linked, because it is people who create, implement and develop technologies. In modern realities, the speed of change has become not just an advantage, but a necessary condition for business development. It is thanks to flexibility that Ukrainian companies today demonstrate stability and competitiveness.
— It is impossible to build a large-scale business without strong people. What, in your opinion, should a modern leader be like?
— A leader should not only set tasks. Their main role is to convey the company’s purpose, strategy, and values to the team, explain, engage, and inspire. When people share a common vision and feel involvement in a result, they are able to achieve the most ambitious goals.
— What do you see as your personal mission today?
— For me, it’s not just about achieving the company’s strategic goals. I want to contribute to the formation of a culture of trust in Ukrainian business, Ukrainian manufacturers, and Ukrainian products. It is trust between companies, partners, and customers that is the foundation of a strong economy and a successful future for our country.
— Yuliia, how would you briefly describe your professional activities?
— I am a game facilitator, a trainer in transformational and psychological games, and a consultant in the fields of personal development and financial literacy. In my work, I combine knowledge of psychology, finance, and the practice of gentle transformation. For me, gamebased practice is first and foremost a diagnostic tool that helps people understand themselves, their attitudes, fears, and inner resources better.
— What is the main value of a transformational game?
— The game creates a safe space in which a person displays their usual patterns of behaviour. During the process, it becomes clear how they make decisions, react to change, and approach risk, responsibility or finances. It is often through play that we are able to see things that are difficult to recognise in everyday life.
— What are the most common requests you receive?
— Most commonly, these include emotional burnout, a loss of motivation, a lack of self-confidence, difficulty making decisions, financial concerns and the search for inner support. In my work, I use transformational games, resourcebased practices and other tools that help people find their own answers and discover new opportunities for personal development.
— You work not only with individuals but also with businesses. How can game-based learning benefit teams?
— In a team format, the game allows me to see a living system of interaction. It helps to identify the strengths of the team, communication features, the level of trust and willingness to take responsibility. This tool is especially valuable in periods of change, high
workload and professional burnout.
— What makes your approach different?
— My experience combines the financial sector, managerial thinking and psychological practices. Thanks to this, I can see not only the emotional aspect of an issue, but also its systemic causes. For me, it is important not simply to discuss the problem, but to help an individual or a team find practical solutions.
— What is the main outcome for participants?
— The most valuable thing is clarity. Individuals begin to understand themselves, their decisions and the reasons behind their difficulties better, whilst the team learns to work together more effectively. After the game, a vision of the next steps emerges, along with the inner confidence needed to move forward.

YULIIA ARDATII:
PLAY-BASED PRACTICE AS A GENTLE FORM OF DIAGNOSIS THAT HELPS REVEAL NEW POSSIBILITIES
— Greetings, Liudmyla! It is nice to meet you. Why are people still afraid to turn to a psychiatrist?
— Stereotypes about psychiatry have been formed for decades due to associations with coercion, isolation, a “lifelong diagnosis” and fear of condemnation. Many still believe that seeking help is a sign of weakness. At the same time, the situation is changing, especially after a full-scale war, when the topic of PTSD became open. Reliable information about modern humane psychiatry, personal stories of people and a friendly first consultation help to overcome fear. Turning to a psychiatrist is not a shortcut, but taking care of yourself, your own health and future.
— Do psychotherapy and medication therapy complement each other?
— The myth of choosing between “a pill or a conversation” is not true. Medications stabilise biochemical processes, reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and create a resource for psychotherapy. At the same time, psychotherapy helps to understand the causes of the condition and process traumatic experiences. This combination works best for depression, anxiety disorders, PTSD, and the consequences of military trauma, providing a more sustainable treatment outcome.
— What myths about psychiatric drugs do you have to refute most often?
— The most common are three myths. The first is that drugs change per-
sonality. In fact, they affect symptoms, not character, helping a person return to themselves. The second is the fear of addiction. Modern antidepressants, unlike some older generation drugs, do not cause addiction, although they require medical supervision. The third is that the medication will have to be taken for life. In most cases, the course of treatment has a specific duration and is selected individually.
— When should one stop postponing seeing a psychiatrist?
— If anxiety, insomnia, or a depressed mood persist for more than two weeks and interfere with work or relationships, it is a reason to consult a specialist. Other important signals include sleep disturbances, changes in appetite, constant fatigue, physical symptoms without an organic cause, and loss of the ability to enjoy familiar things. You should be especially careful about thoughts of hopelessness and not be alone with them.
— What inspires you most in your profession?
— The most valuable thing is to see how a person who came exhausted and convinced that nothing would change gradually regains the joy of life, makes plans and trusts themselves again. Over the years of work –in the hospital, outpatient practice and on the line of psychological support during the war – I have repeatedly seen how timely help changed people’s destinies. For me, the main result is when a person regains the right to peace, joy and again becomes the author of their own life, feeling confident in their own abilities.
