Dear Ukrainians!

In June, Ukraine will celebrate Constitution Day, and I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate everyone on this upcoming holiday.

Constitution Day for me is not just a national holiday. It is a reminder of our freedom, strength and right to be ourselves in our own country.

Today, each of us is going through difficult times. But right now, the value of people who do not give up, work, support others, create new things and continue to live despite all challenges is especially felt.

I am sincerely proud of Ukrainian women – strong, beautiful, and deep. Those who keep families, businesses, teams, help others and at the same time find the strength to remain bright.

For me, the real strength of Ukraine is in its people –in our ability to unite, to be reborn after difficult periods and not to lose faith in the future.

May each of us have the inner freedom to live our own lives, not to postpone our dreams “for later” and to build a country in which our children will want to live.

And the most important thing is to appreciate life now.

Yours sincerely,

The name of Yuliia Kushnir has long become recognisable not only in the beauty industry, but also in the space of modern female leadership. The founder of the «Yuliia Kushnir Hair Studio» in Drohobych, a judge of international professional championships, a mentor and author of the social project «Revival», she has repeatedly become the heroine of glossy magazines and professional publications. Today, her work is much more than about beauty. It is about a woman’s inner strength, self-confidence and the courage to live her own life.

— Mrs. Yuliia, today you are one of the most famous representatives of your field. How has your understanding of success changed from the beginning of your career to today?

— I once thought success was about speed: more clients, more work, and more results. I worked hard and constantly proved to myself that I could do even more.

Today, success for me is an inner state. It’s the ability to live my life without betraying myself. It’s the team I’ve built, the women who leave me feeling more confident, and the realisation that my work has a much deeper meaning than just beauty.

— Over the years, you have gained professional recognition, won awards and achieved the status of a judge at international championships. Which of these achievements do you personally consider the most valuable?

— The most valuable thing for me is people – my team, clients, students who once came in unsure, but today open their own studios and grow in the profession.

The «Revival» project holds a special place. It was he who showed me that my profession can not only change appearance, but also help women regain themselves after difficult periods in life.

— You often talk about a woman’s inner strength. What qualities help women today to achieve their goals and remain true to themselves?

— I think the most important thing is not to lose yourself in the pursuit of perfection. Today, women are constantly being told what they should be. But true strength is being honest with yourself.

The ability to say “no”, not to live by other people’s expectations, and the ability to build inner support, and not to depend only on the motivation or approval of others –these qualities are important.

— The «Revival» project has become an important

part of your work. Why was it important for you to launch an initiative with a social mission?

— At some point, I realised that beauty can be much deeper than it seems.

When women started coming to me after oncology and difficult life trials, I saw how much hair affects self-esteem and the desire to see themselves beautiful again.

That’s how the «Revival» project came about. For me, it’s not just about hair. It’s about a woman’s return to herself.

— Was there a moment in your life when you had to literally revive yourself?

— There have been many such moments. There have been periods of great exhaustion, times of rethinking, and moments when I had to rebuild myself, my business and my goals from scratch.

But it is precisely these stages that toughen you up the most. They teach you not to be afraid to start again and show just how much stronger a person can become after going through difficult times.

— Today, you are an example for many women. What does being a leader mean to you?

— For me, leadership isn’t about perfection or control. It’s about setting an example, being honest, and creating an environment where others can grow.

I want women, when they look at me, to realise that you don’t have to be perfect to build a great life.

— Looking a few years ahead, what do you see as your main mission?

— It is important to me not only to develop the beauty industry and teach masters to work qualitatively. Most of all, I want to show women by my own example that you can grow, change, start something new at any age and at the same time remain herself.

And most importantly, do not put off life «for later».

NATALIIA MAKISHA:

“A CALLING TO BE A LIGHT FOR OTHERS”

True strength often hides not in achievements, but in the ability to remain indifferent; to be a pillar of support for those who are losing hope; to give support without unnecessary words. It is precisely such people who create an atmosphere of trust and humanity around them.

Today we’re telling you about Nataliia Makisha — president of the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Caring Hearts”, a dermatologist and venereologist, a cosmetologist and a social activist, for whom helping others has long been an integral part of life.

There are no random decisions or a purely formal approach in her work. Every initiative, every meeting and every project is born out of the awareness of just how important it is today to stand by those who are going through difficult times. That is precisely why the work of the “Caring Hearts” Foundation covers humanitarian, social and psychological support for people who are in particular need of attention and assistance.

Supporting the Ukrainian military has become a separate focus of her work. Nataliia, together with the foundation’s team, regularly participates in money collecting and the delivery of necessary equipment to the defenders who are protecting the country on the front line. For her, this is not merely a volunteer activity, but a personal responsibility towards those thanks to whom Ukraine continues to live and fight.

A particular focus of her work is supporting the families of missing servicemen. These are people who live every day caught between pain and hope, between waiting and faith. It is for them that Nataliia, together with her partners, creates a supportive space where they can feel understanding, care and human warmth. Such gatherings are not only an opportunity to talk, but also a reminder that they are not alone with their experiences.

Her profession as a doctor helps Nataliia to view people holistically. She is convinced that self-care remains important even during the most difficult periods of life. That is why, when meeting with women, she talks not only about health and self-care, but also about inner balance, restoring resources, and the need to find strength for oneself.

Today, when society is in particular need of unity and mutual support, such people become true pillars of strength for others. Without making grand statements or seeking recognition, they do what they believe is right every day: they help, support and bring people together.

Nataliia Makisha is one such woman. Her work proves that true strength is born where there is empathy, and the greatest impact begins with a sincere desire to help.

Being a light for others is neither a profession nor a status. It is a calling. And it is with this calling that Nataliia fills every day of her life.

IRYNA TRETIAK LLC MONO CAPITAL

FROM ACCOUNTANT TO BUSINESS OWNER AND PARTNER IN AN INTERNATIONAL COMPANY: A 25-YEAR JOURNEY

I

ryna Tretiak’s career is an example of how professionalism, systemic thinking and continuous development can turn ambitions into a life’s work. Today, she is a managing partner at MONO CAPITAL LLC, a certified auditor, an international trainer and an expert in finance, taxation and IFRS. But her journey to professional recognition began back in her student days.

Even as a teenager, Iryna was not afraid of difficult decisions or taking on responsibility. After the 9th grade, life circumstances forced her to change her usual path, but it was precisely this that marked the start of her professional development. College opened up the world of accounting and finance to her, and her first practicum quickly turned into a proper job. This was followed by a degree in accounting, a university degree in economics, and years of hard work, which shaped her into a strong manager and an expert in finance and auditing.

Over the course of more than 25 years in the profession, Iryna Tretiak has risen from accountant to chief accountant, financial director of major holding companies and business owner. Today, her name is associated with expertise in the fields of auditing, tax consultancy and international financial reporting standards. She is a certified auditor and partner at MONO CAPITAL, a firm specialising in accounting support, auditing and consultancy.

Complex cases and start-ups hold a special place in Iryna’s professional life. She admits that it is precisely where others hesitate that she finds it most interesting to find solutions. Her approach is based not only on numbers, but also on a strategic vision for business development, the ability to build systems and form strong teams.

“You can’t build a large-scale business on your own,” Iryna is convinced. That is precisely why she says that trust is one of the core principles of her work. For her, money is, above all, the equivalent of reputation and responsibility. Many clients and employees have worked alongside her for years, as they value stability, honesty and the ability to find a way out of even the most difficult situations.

Iryna pays particular attention to corporate culture and team development. She is convinced that a strong business begins not with financial indicators, but with people who share common values. That is why, in her work, she combines high professional standards, a systemic approach and a human attitude towards every employee and client.

Continuous development is another fundamental component of her professional philosophy. Despite her extensive practical experience, Iryna continues to learn and invests in the development of her team. She is an international trainer and delivers professional training for specialists not only in Ukraine but also across Asia. She also plays an active role in developing the professional community and helps colleagues avoid common mistakes in the field of audit and taxation.

Iryna Tretiak’s expert commentary and analysis regularly appear in professional and business media. She is invited as an expert on taxation, international financial reporting standards and business process management, as well as a speaker at specialist business events.

Running and growing a business in wartime conditions is a particular challenge for Ukrainian entrepreneurs. However, Iryna Tretiak is convinced that it is during times of crisis that the strongest solutions emerge, and that professionalism, responsibility and quick response become key competitive advantages.

Despite her busy professional life, Iryna successfully balances business with motherhood. She is raising a daughter who is achieving high results in her studies and classical dance. In her view, it is her experience as a mother that helps her to better understand people, especially young professionals, who need not only to be trained in their profession but also supported in difficult life situations.

Iryna Tretiak is convinced that the modern world is gradually moving away from stereotypes about ‘male’ and ‘female’ professions. For a true leader, it is not status or gender that matters, but professionalism, resilience and the ability to find compromises.

Today, her guiding principle at work is honesty and openness. It is these qualities, in her view, that are becoming a new value for business and society as a whole. After all, in a world facing new challenges every day, people increasingly trust those who remain true to themselves.

“I always believe in development. In the fact that a person can change themselves, improve and become an example to others. This is how not only a successful business but also a strong society is formed, I am convinced,” says Iryna Tretiak.

SVITLANA KATRYCH:

I DON’T COLLECT ILLUSIONS - I WORK WITH THE FINANCIAL ARCHITECTURE OF BUSINESSES

These days, it is no longer enough for a business simply to generate profit. It is important to understand where a company is losing resources, why money is not being converted into capital, and how to build a system capable of withstanding turbulence and scaling up. We discuss this with Svitlana Katrych, CFO and financial architect.

— You emphasise that you work specifically with architecture, rather than simply with accounting. So what exactly is a financial architect?

— A traditional financier works like a historian: explaining what has already happened and producing a report at the end of the month. But it is not enough for a business to look in the rear-view mirror. A financial architect creates a system for managing the future.

I’m interested in the reason why the numbers appear. I view a business as a living system: where overload occurs, energy is lost, or decisions are made chaotically. Every number is backed by human behaviour.

Finance is the psychology of management and the ability to look at reality honestly.

— In conditions of constant turbulence, how can a financial model be designed to include a margin of safety that will enable a company not only to survive, but also to scale up?

— A margin of safety is not about a large amount in the account. A strong business is a flexible system that adapts quickly. The most flexible survive, and the entire architecture is built around the speed of reaction.

Stress testing is needed: what will happen if revenue drops by 30–50%? Where are the critical processes? Where is the “frozen” money? If there are no answers, the system does not exist yet. The second rule is working capital management. It seems like there is profit, but the real money is “hanging” in warehouses or accounts receivable. A business can look successful and at the same time experience a shortage of resources.

True sustainability begins with the owner’s honesty with himself. That’s when the opportunity arises to build something truly large-scale and strong.

— Mrs. Svitlana, your topic sounds like a challenge to the romanticisation of entrepreneurship. What financial illusions most often hinder businesses from seeing the true state of affairs?

— I often tell business owners: the figures don’t lie, but people like to deal with reality on their own terms. First and foremost, there’s the confusion between Revenue and Profit. Turnover creates a sense of wealth, but that isn’t the business’s money yet — it’s its commitments. The second illusion is the dangerous phrase: “We’re making money; it’s just hard right now.” Years of systemic losses are hidden behind it. Until it’s quantified, it remains invisible. The third is the belief that scale can tame chaos. In reality, scale merely amplifies what’s already within the system. My task is to show where the business is losing its footing and to build an architecture that does not depend on intuition or heroism

My main role as a CFO is not just to calculate the numbers, but to help the business sustain its own growth.

— You view finance through a very subtle, almost philosophical lens. What does that mean to you personally?

— For me, business is a living organism, where finance acts as a circulatory system. I call finance the psychology of management, because there are always decisions, fears and ambitions of the owners behind every number. It is impossible to change the indicators in the table without changing the thinking of the managers.

For me personally, financial architecture is a transition from controlling the past to creating the future.

A strong business does not start with ambition. It starts with honesty before the numbers.

NINA DONHAUSER (ASTRID WAY)

“MUSIC CAN HEAL THE SOUL AS DEEPLY AS THERAPY”

Nina Donhauser (Astrid Way) is a family therapist, arranger, coach, stage manager and artist who has harmoniously combined psychology, creativity and stage. Through therapy and music, she helps people find inner support, experience transformation and discover their true selves.

And that you can start at any stage of life. This is about the fact that you can combine both the profession of a psychologist and creative realisation.” This is what I do it for! This is where I feel my mission!

— Mrs. Nina, is it more correct to call you Astrid? We are glad to welcome you to the pages of our edition.

— Yes, my name is Nina. Astrid is the name of my project. That’s the name of my systemic therapy centre, and it was this name that I took as a pseudonym for my creative work. «Astrid» in Scandinavian means «divine radiance» – the light that is in each of us. As an actress and stage manager, I am known as Ninel Prykhodko, and as a therapist –as Lelia Berezhanska. And all these facets of my personality coexist harmoniously.

— You are a person who organically combined systemic therapy, cinema, poetry, and music. How did you manage to create this special space in which creativity and working with the human soul became one?

— It is so, because I don’t divide it. It’s all a manifestation of the Creator in me. And these are different facets that are present in every person. It’s just that not everyone knows about it.

— For many, your songs sound not just like music, but like real emotional support and therapy. Do you feel that through creativity you can sometimes reach a person even deeper than during a personal consultation?

— Just the other day, my colleague wrote to me: “I wanted to say that your musical career is inspiring! What a wonderful example for women that you can follow your heart’s call and create, be bright and expressive.

Because I believe that every person can reveal their potential. And I reveal mine. After all, I have rehearsals every day. And I also go through a lot of resistance, self-criticism, sometimes hate... But I continue to create because I really like it! Even if it’s terribly! And through my songs and poetry, I can really convey more meaning than it would be in an individual session.

— There is so much light, depth, and a subtle sense of human emotions in your work. What themes do you most often experience through music and why do they resonate so strongly with people?

— This is the theme of freedom. For me, it is above all else! And it resonates with the fact that life will always seek life! We are created to be free. And this is about the true spirit of a Ukrainian.

— You have been working with people’s inner transformations for many years as a systemic therapist and arranger. Have there been moments in your practice when a song or creative expression has been the beginning of important changes or inner healing for a person?

— Yes! Sometimes clients write to me: “I listened to your song and tears flowed from my eyes! It was catharsis! I understood what we talked about in therapy!” And then my songs become like a reminder, like support. But they are also a reminder and support for me!

— Your professional path is an example of how a person can realise themselves in several strong directions at once. What helps you maintain an internal balance between deep therapeutic work, publicity, and creative realisation?

— My inner balance comes from the fact that I don’t wear a mask, but show myself as I really am – both as a therapist and as a singer. These are all my facets and shadows. Acceptance gives me balance.

— Speaking of your mission today, what is most valuable to you about the impact you create through therapy, creativity, and music for people and society in general?

— My mission is to show people that you can be yourself and start this path at any moment in your life! Not ideal, but true! Even if there is hate, even if there is no support from loved ones — you can do what your soul desires! And then there will be those who will support you, who will respond to you, who will also dare to be themselves.

My lyrics are a world of metaphors, archetypes, and images. But since fewer and fewer people read poetry, it is easier to convey meaning to more people through a song. And I also try to make my clips fabulous, because our subconscious perceives fairy-tale images well. I am currently working on a clip for the song «Kai». It is drawn in AI. And each frame there carries a metaphor! Just like in the previous clip for the song «I Will Forget You». It can be viewed on YouTube and has already gained almost 240 thousand views. Therefore, my mission is to create, inspire, and help people become more alive and manifested!

TETIANA SAMOILENKO: ON WAR, PEOPLE AND RESPONSIBILITY

“I’ve never been able to live just for myself,” says Tetiana Samoilenko on journalism, war, volunteering and the people worth holding on for

– Tetiana, today you are known as the Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv, a member of the regional council, and a volunteer. But how did your story begin?

– In fact, it all began with neither politics nor positions of power. I’ve always loved people and communicating with them. That’s precisely why I went into journalism. For me, it was an opportunity to listen to people, understand their problems and see real life. I worked as a journalist, then in television, and headed a local TV channel. And it was then that I realised one important thing: there is a human story behind every news item – sometimes a very difficult one. I suppose it was journalism that taught me not to pass by someone else’s pain.

– Even before the full-scale war broke out, you were actively involved in community work. Was that a personal desire to be useful?

– Yes. It has always been important to me to create things for people. Long before the war, we were running youth projects, cultural events, festivals and forums, and working with young people in the Kyiv region. We wanted people to have a space for development, for communicating and for supporting one another. After all, a strong community doesn’t start with buildings – it starts with people who are ready to care.

– 2022 changed the lives of all Ukrainians. What was it like for you?

– Honestly? It was absolutely terrifying, just as it was for millions of Ukrainians. I remember the first days of the full-scale invasion: the Kyiv region, the explosions, the panic… People who had no idea what was to come. And at that moment, everyone made their own choice. Some left, some hid, some waited, but we sprang into action. I stayed here, in the Kyiv region, even though I have a child and had every reason to think first and foremost of my own safety. But I simply couldn’t leave and let people face this horror alone. That’s when the “Volunteer Centre” was born.

– Do you remember how it all began?

– It was because of the people. Not because of money, resources or great opportunities. It all started with phone calls and a simple question: “How can I help?” We evacuated people, found food and medicine, looked for transport, and supported the military, civilians and displaced people. Very quickly, hundreds of people gathered around us. And do you know what struck me most at the time? Just how strong Ukrainians can be in the most difficult moments. Thousands of people received help, and this work did not stop during the day or at night.

– You have travelled to the front line many times and continue to do so. Why is this important to you?

– You can’t help «from a distance» without understanding reality. When you see the eyes of the military, when you see their fatigue, when you see young boys and girls who have been living under shelling for months, you start to perceive life in a completely different way. For me, trips to the front are not about photos or publicity, they are about supporting people who are fighting for the freedom of our country today. And, to be honest, that’s where everything unreal disappears very quickly.

– The war has significantly changed the role of women in Ukrainian society. Do you feel that?

– Absolutely. Ukrainian women today are not just about tenderness or care; they are about immense inner strength. Millions of women have taken on the responsibility of looking after their families and children, as well as volunteering, working in healthcare, providing humanitarian aid and serving in public office. I know many women who have lost their homes, their husbands and their peace of mind, but who have not lost their humanity. And that is incredible.

– Following your volunteering activities, you became the Representative of the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights in the Kyiv region and the city of Kyiv. Why did you agree to take on this responsibility?

– Because it’s a continuation of what I’ve been doing all these years. Human rights work isn’t just about documents or offices; it’s about real people who

have often already lost faith that they will be heard. Today, we are approached by military personnel, veterans, families of the deceased, people who have lost their homes, displaced persons, people with disabilities, and families of those missing in action. A separate area of our work involves protecting the rights of military personnel and veterans, assisting the families of prisoners of war and those missing in action, responding to violations of children’s rights, supporting internally displaced persons, monitoring living conditions in social care institutions, issues of accessibility and barrier-free environments, as well as other areas within the field of human rights protection.

Sometimes all a person needs is not to be left alone with their problem. That is why we are currently expanding our services in Kyiv and across the Kyiv region, so that people can receive help in good time. I have set myself the goal of opening community reception centres in at least the district centres of the Kyiv region and the districts of the capital. As of today, such centres are already operating in Bila Tserkva and Vyshhorod, and they will open very soon in Brovary and Fastiv.

– What is the hardest thing for you today?

– It’s probably the human pain that you can never get used to. Over the years, I’ve heard and seen countless stories. And every single one of them gets under your skin. But do you know what keeps me going? People. Our people have an incredible ability to support one another, even when they’re struggling themselves. And that’s exactly what gives me the strength to keep going today.

– And what helps you not to lose yourself?

– My son. He is my greatest reminder of what we are all living and working for today. After all, we all want the same thing – for our children to live in a country free from fear. My family – my beloved husband, my mum, my nephew, and my grandmother – are always by my side. And being true to myself helps too. I’ve never tried to be “perfect” – I always remain true to myself, just as I am.

– In short: who is Tetiana Samoilenko today?

– I am still someone who believes in people.

очі військових, коли бачиш їхню втому, коли бачиш молодих хлопців і дівчат, які місяцями живуть під обстрілами, ти зовсім по-іншому починаєш сприймати життя. Для мене поїздки на фронт – це не про фотографії

TRUST THAT MARKS THE BEGINNING OF A NEW LIFE

MARIANA ANTONIUK:

A DOCTOR WHO HELPS WOMEN THROUGH ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT JOURNEYS OF THEIR LIVES

Every woman has moments that remain in her memory forever. The birth of a child is undoubtedly one of them. It is a time of vulnerability, anticipation, hope, excitement, and immense responsibility. That is why it is so important for an expectant mother to have trustworthy people by her side—people she can rely on without hesitation.

Mariana Antoniuk is an obstetrician-gynecologist who accompanies women through this challenging yet profoundly meaningful journey every day. For many of her patients, she has become not only a highly qualified medical professional but also a person whose presence brings reassurance, confidence, and support during some of the most important stages of motherhood. In modern medicine, professionalism is no longer measured solely by diplomas or years of experience. The true value of a physician lies in the ability to see the person behind the medical record, to understand their emotions and concerns, and to provide not only professional guidance but also genuine human support. This is exactly the approach that guides Mariana in her work. She often says that welcoming a new life into the world is the greatest miracle she has the privilege to be part of. These words perfectly reflect her attitude toward her profession. For her, every pregnancy is a unique journey, every family is unique, and every story carries its own meaning. Behind every hospital discharge

are months of anticipation, hopes, worries, and profound trust. And such trust is never accidental.

It is built through years of education, professional development, and continuous self-improvement. It is supported by hundreds of decisions made, thousands of consultations provided, and countless stories in which a physician becomes an important part of a family’s life.

Yet Mariana believes that the role of a modern doctor extends far beyond treatment.

Her professional mission is much broader.

She helps women better understand their bodies, take responsibility for their health, and make informed decisions. In a world overflowing with advice and often contradictory information, having a specialist who can explain complex issues in simple terms and help find the right path is invaluable. This is why many of her patients speak not only about her high professional competence but also about the unique sense of support and confidence they experience when communicating with her.

Another remarkable aspect of her work is her involvement in social initiatives.

One such project is the **“Ukrainian Exercise Program for Mothers”**, an initiative designed to support women during the postpartum period.

Mariana understands very well that the birth of a child is not only a source of happiness but also a significant physical and emotional challenge. That is why she supports projects that help women recover, regain their inner balance, and once again feel strong and confident.

What is perhaps most inspiring is that behind her professional achievements stands a remarkably balanced, thoughtful, and compassionate woman.

In her reflections, she often speaks about the importance of loved ones, family support, and inner harmony. She values moments of silence, the beauty of simple things, and the sincerity of human relationships. She firmly believes that these are the foundations that help people remain strong even during the most difficult times. Her belief that a happy woman becomes the best support for other women is not merely a beautiful phrase—it is a life principle. Perhaps that is why Mariana Antoniuk inspires trust not only as a doctor but also as a person.

She combines professional confidence with feminine sensitivity, inner strength with kindness, high standards of practice with sincere care for people.

These are the women who are shaping a new culture of medicine today—a medicine where the individual remains at the center of care. And these are the women who inspire.

Not through loud statements or a desire for public recognition, but through their daily work, humanity, and willingness to be there when they are needed most.

Mariana Antoniuk is one of those people entrusted with life’s greatest miracle—the birth of a child. And perhaps that is the highest recognition of her professional journey.

— Kateryna, welcome to the pages of our edition. What has shaped your special attitude towards the inner world of a person?

— First of all, it was the atmosphere in which I grew up. Members of the “Sixties generation” often gathered at our house to talk about freedom, human dignity and independence. There was music, poetry and the Ukrainian language. It was then that my interest in people and their inner worlds took shape. And the final decision to change profession came after my son’s diagnosis, when he was diagnosed with autism at the age of three. This became the impetus for a new career path.

— What inner resources help you maintain your balance and sensitivity in your profession?

— Psychology involves continuous learning, supervision, your own psychotherapy, and honest contact with yourself. It is important to understand your own needs and be able to hear yourself. This is what makes it possible to truly understand others. And practice and scientific research constantly remind us of how great human potential is even in crisis circumstances.

— What is the main mission of habilitation and modern specialists in this field today?

— Habilitation is about forming new skills and developing a person’s capabilities. Today, in the context of war, this field takes on particular significance. We focus less on limitations and more on a person’s

potential, their ability to live independently and build a quality life despite the difficulties.

— Which of your professional experiences has left the deepest emotional impression on you?

— I am inspired by people themselves and their capacity for transformation. A special place is occupied by the story of my husband, a scientist, who, despite health problems, remains an example of strength of spirit, discipline, and inner dignity. Stories like this remind us that people are capable of far more than they realise.

— Are qualitatively new professional horizons opening up before you today?

— Horizons should be broad and far-reaching. One must look into them boldly and optimistically, but move gradually and consciously. Today, I am especially close to the creation of new educational programs, the development of psychotherapeutic practice, and the expansion of platforms for helping people.

Together with my husband, we are developing the Centre for Psychological and Habilitation Assistance to Ukrainians “Terra Kolping” in Ukraine and Portugal, and we are also working on the program “Habilitation and Psychological Support” at the Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. It is extremely important for me to train a new generation of specialists, whose knowledge will be especially needed by Ukraine during the war and after the victory.

The editorial team sincerely thanks Kateryna Ostrovska for participating in the project and for the deep conversation. We wish her new professional achievements, inner harmony, strength to realise all her plans, and bright horizons leading to great changes.

— Greetings, Oktiabryna! We are glad to meet you again. Why are women so eager to return to their own family today?

— In times of global changes and catastrophes, like now, a person seeks support as much as possible. Only through our roots, our native land do we get it.

We take the best from our ancestors, or we reject everything – and lose huge treasures of experience, strength, and firmness, we become mankurts. Preservation of national identity during war is the most important thing, so we must turn to our ancestors.

— What are the most common ancestral scenarios that modern women face today?

— Currently, the most common scenario is the forced independence of a woman when her husband is at the front, and she is the one who takes care of the family. This is an old pattern, because in Ukraine, men spent more time outside the home (like the

OKTIABRYNA ZHEMCHUZHYNA: FEMININE POWER: THE LIGHT THAT IS PASSED DOWN THROUGH GENERATIONS

In the modern world, women are increasingly looking not only for external support, but also for internal strength that can help them survive difficult times. That is why the topic of lineage, spiritual memory, and female intuition sounds especially relevant today. After all, the connection with ancestors is not only about the past, but also about the future that we create for our children. And it is women who often become that invisible bridge between generations, preserving the love, traditions, and strength of their lineage, passing it on through time. Tarot reader and clan witch Oktiabryna Zhemchuzhyna helps women understand themselves more deeply, accept their own strength, and see hidden clan resources. In an interview with our edition, she shared her vision of female energy and internal support.

Cossacks, for example), and the woman had to be the head of the family.

We are not genetically weak. We are not “Vedic ladies,” as it is fashionable to say now. Our woman is independent, selfsufficient, unconquered. This is not a burden if we realise this strength of our great-grandmothers and accept it. In fact, it is a resource for survival – very valuable.

— What, in your opinion, is the power of female intuition?

— All women are witches a little. “Witch” (“vidma” in Ukrainian) comes from the word “to know” (“vidaty” in Ukrainian). But in order to hear your heart, you need to be able to abstract from the information noise and… believe in yourself. We very often know how to act, what will happen, we are warned, but we believe that this is some kind of fantasy. Realising that you have the gift of foresight and accepting it is the main thing. Don’t be afraid to accept your own power.

— How does a woman change when she begins to live in harmony with her clan?

— She becomes calm, strong and confident, because she is not alone –generations of ancestors and their support are behind her. And you can stand firmly on the ground and know that no wind of change will overthrow you; that you give your children the best future. You are the guardian of the family.

— What would you like to say to Ukrainian women today?

— Believe in yourself, dear girls! We can do anything, and if we want something, we cannot be stopped. Love, do not let insecurity, fear and anger get into your heart. These are very dark times and the world really needs more light. Who, if not a woman, can light it?

The editorial office sincerely thanks Oktiabryna Zhemchuzhyna for the deep and inspiring conversation. We wish her harmony, inner light and new successes in her important work.

PSYCHOLOGICAL THEATRE «SITUATION»

A full hall of people: Dnipro residents, guests of the city, experts, journalists, art connoisseurs... There was absolute silence and bated breath from anticipation at the start of the premiere of the incredibly unique, absolutely innovative cultural project «Psychological Theatre «Situation».

The author of the project Lyudmila Akymenko notes that she has been nurturing the idea for a very long time so that, once formed, it would incorporate extremely useful practical advice and the effectiveness of psychological assistance to people through the format of a theatrical performance.

«As a woman who has gone through a long way of her own transformations, I understand that young people who plan to create strong unions do not know how to prepare themselves for this at all. Most of them do not allow themselves to turn to experts for help. Divorce statistics tell us that we do not currently have a culture of building healthy relationships due to a lack of self-understanding and inability to communicate. For a very long time, these questions formed in me the idea of creating a project that through an interactive format would be able to help our nation, help women and men find a common language, create an atmosphere of trust, harmony, understanding and support in families. Thus, years later, the Psychological Theatre «Situation» was born, which we presented to the birthday of our city,» commented Lyudmila Akymenko.

The format of the project includes theatrical productions of a wide variety of situations faced by every person on the planet. Psychological theatre is a special form of influence on a person through creation, because theatrical art is able to perfectly manifest the inner world of

a person and change him or her.We can empower people in the light of creation to take important steps toward change. It is also about improving relationships, establishing communication, achieving understanding with others and revealing inner potential.

In addition, the psychological theatre «Situation» aims to develop the psychological direction of theatrical art. This is a completely new concept that can be effectively applied as an innovative therapeutic model. Psychologists point out that theatrical performance can be the only way to resolve difficult relationships with others in some life circumstances.

The experts with a psychological specialty reveal the topics of situations, causes and consequences and give practical advices in the project. They take their professional tools and help people see the objectivity of life’s situations. The themes of future performances will consist of real stories, which we expect to receive from you through social networks.

Due to the realities of our lives, not all Ukrainians can turn to a psychologist for help today, because this type of communication foresees openness,

which requires special courage. And this is where a theatrical performance can come to the rescue allowing the viewer to participate in a familiar situation without direct contact with a specialist, but to get the necessary answers. This interactive will give the viewer the opportunity to see a similar situation from the outside and understand how to act in order to preserve the relationship that will be discussed in the play.

The premiere of the first performance of the psychological theatre «The Situation» proved that Ukrainians today desperately need psychological help. The project’s experts answered more than a hundred questions of the guests of the event. Specialists who were presented at the project noted

that the great war further worsened the state of Ukrainians and they should be saved. They repeatedly emphasized that psychologists, psychotherapists, psychiatrists, sexologists, neurologists and coaches should consult in any life situation to support mental health. In this way, we will be able to create relationships having a good continuation and giving our nation strong unions and a healthy generation of future Ukrainians. After all, it is for them that we now choose our freedom and independence.

We thank everyone who joined us at the premiere, we are waiting for your comments on social networks and we are preparing for the new performance.

We are waiting for everyone!

ALINA DEORDITSA: «REAL CHANGES BEGIN NOT IN A SESSION WITH PSYCHOLOGIST, BUT IN LIFE»

Аlina Deorditsa is a psychotherapist, crisis psychologist, and cognitive behavioral therapist (CBT). She studied in Austria, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. Today, psychology has become closer to people, and psychologists have become more public. Social networks have opened up new opportunities, but with them new challenges have emerged: how not to lose professionalism behind a personal brand, how to maintain ethics, and not replace depth with a beautiful picture. We talked to Alina Deorditsa about her approach to work, personal experience, and the principles that have become the foundation of her professional path.

— Alina, what do you see as your main difference from other specialists?

— My main feature is the combination of an evidencebased approach, European education and a clear work structure. I do not work on the principle of “let’s talk and see”. For me, therapy is a process with a specific goal, a clear plan and regular assessment of results.

I do not work with all requests in a row: each area of my practice is confirmed by separate training and advanced training. It is important for me to stay within my competence and choose quality instead of trying to be a specialist in everything at once.

It is also important to note that I have undergone professional training in Austria, Switzerland and the UK. I work in accordance with modern European standards of psychotherapeutic practice, officially as an individual entrepreneur, with a confidentiality agreement and clear rules of interaction with clients.

In addition to professional education, I have over 1000 hours of personal therapy behind me, which has allowed me to understand the process of change more deeply not only as a specialist, but also as a person who has gone through it myself.

— What is your approach to therapy based on?

— My approach is based on a simple idea: the main thing is not only to understand the problem, but also to change the person’s life in practice. I do not look for childhood trauma for the sake of trauma and do not spend years analysing the past if the difficulties exist in the present.

EDITORIAL NOTE:

From the very beginning, I perceive the client as an adult and capable of change. My task is not to “fix” someone, but to help find the skills, resources or ways of thinking that are currently lacking to solve a specific situation.

— How has your personal experience influenced your professional practice?

— My experience with anxiety has had a profound impact on my practice, as it has complemented my professional knowledge with a real understanding of the process from the inside. I am well-versed not only in the theory of anxiety, but also in how it masquerades as over-control, perfectionism, constant scrolling thoughts, or the need to anticipate everything.

My journey has helped me understand which approaches really work in the long term and which ones only provide temporary relief.

— How do you manage to maintain a balance between the role of a psychologist and a public figure?

— Social networks have truly brought psychologists closer to people. I have repeatedly asked myself the question: what is appropriate to show publicly and what is not.

For me, a blog is a continuation of my practice. Through it, people get to know not only my expertise, but also my values and approach to change. Excessive openness for the sake of coverage, shock content, or hype on hot topics are not close to me.

— How, in your opinion, has the professional ethics of a psychologist changed today?

— I think that with the advent of blogging, ethics have become even more important. Social media has opened up a lot of opportunities, but at the same time, the boundaries of the profession have begun to blur.

Sometimes popularity is perceived as confirmation of competence, although the number of followers does not always indicate the quality of education or practice. For me, the line is very simple: I always remember that I am a psychotherapist first, and a blogger second.

The editorial team thanks Alina Deorditsa for the sincere conversation and wishes her new professional successes and inspiration.
