The Marine Corps Air Station New River Blues were overcome by Navy Hospital in a hard-fought battle that went into double overtime, resulting in a 3-2 loss for the Blues, Nov. 14. The New River Blues had difficulty putting together a full team for the game, but finally mustered up the 11 players they needed. The players took to the field with a team that looked a lot different then the one that defeated the Navy Hospital with a
score of 3-1 in their last encounter. “We had a very different team this time,” said left midfielder Pedro Soto. “A lot of our starters weren’t able to make it to the game due to the holidays as well as operational commitments, but we went out there with the team we had and gave it all we got.” The game started off energetically with the Blues having several chances within the first five minutes. see SOCCER pg. 10
