—Page 3 Rear Adm. Jonathan Yuen, commander, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP), visited Naval Air Station Oceana March 26 for a tour and a chance to speak to the Sailors directly that are behind the daily operations of numerous supply departments. During the tour, Yuen visited Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic (FRCMA) Oceana spaces. One stop on the tour was the aircraft generator shop where he was shown the processes that are used to improve capabilities of the generators. With the increase of F/A-18s at Oceana, the demands associated with them were discussed as well as airspeed projects that have been implemented to achieve efficiency to better meet the demands of the flight line. “It is important for the Sailors to see that the top level leadership recognizes all the great work they are accomplishing and also reinforces what we tell them every day. This tour also gave us a chance to show the admiral what we as a command are doing so he can share that information with his counterparts,” said Cmdr. Francini Clemmons, FRCMA Oceana maintenance officer. The tour also visited the Forward Looking Infrared (FLIR) pod shop where Yuen was shown the process of breaking the FLIR down and testing it. Personnel assigned to the shop
