is not being needy. This encompasses so many areas. We all have some kind of challenge, and most of the things we battle are not visible to the outside world. I have learned this from the vets I help, from my daughter’s ongoing journey, and sadly from the experience of my godson’s suicide. We all have something we are battling, whether it is mental, physical, educational, fiscal or emotional. Seeking help is a strength not a weakness. The military has so many resources now that many go unused. I urge people to find resources before they are in crisis. Effective communication is key.
