Born and educated in Dunedin, Sir Grahame Sydney began his professional career as an artist in 1974.
One of New Zealand’s most significant and enduring artists, this is Sydney's first exhibition in fifteen years. It surveys over three decades of his work from 1992 to the present, demonstrating the breadth of his artistic practice and technical mastery while highlighting the careful studio processes through which his deeply considered landscapes and subjects are realised.
The 33 artworks in the exhibition catalogue are accompanied by a comprehensive text by Stephen Higginson.
