The Battle of Square D

Prepare for an adventure-packed day as you dive into the excitement and creativity that Mil-D-Con has to offer! Whether you're a seasoned con-goer or this is your first time, this Guide is your ultimate companion to explore everything we have in store. From our special celebrity guest, the incredible Mark Williams, to a myriad of thrilling activities, there's something here for everyone.
Be sure to check out the Battle of Square D, a comic strip specially commissioned by 100 FSS Marketing’s own Bruce Richardson. Based on mysterious Cold War-era events at the Tri-Base area, it's a gripping story inspired by the Lakenheath England Radar-Visual UFO Case of 1956. Blending local lore with a healthy dose of poetic license, the tale continues with a modern twist as our heroes face off against villains bent on stealing our beloved Square D!
Let the adventure begin!
With maps, event details, and everything you need at your fingertips, we hope this Guide leads you to every corner of Mil-D-Con’s spectacular offerings. Enjoy the fun, the fandom, and the stories as you dive headfirst into this year’s unforgettable event!

Norwich Droids was formed back in 2020 by Jason Harris when he started taking his newly completed R2-D2 out to events.
In the last 5 years Norwich droids have grown in both members and droids.
They now have over 30 droids from the Starwars Universe from the small LOLA droids all the way up to the Imperial Probe Droid standing at over 9 feet tall. Their driveable Astromechs are always a great hit with the crowds. Their members skill fully build, paint and install electronics to bring them to life.
Not only do they build Star Wars Droids but they also have many costumes and props from other sci-fi franchises such as Ghostbusters. They also have 4 Daleks representing different variations from the 60’s & 70’s through to the newer 2005 version. Find us in the Galaxy Club Ballroom
Mark Williams first achieved widespread recognition in the 1990s as one of the main performers in the BBC sketch comedy programme, The Fast Show. Since then, he has gone on to play many beloved characters in various high-profile films and television shows.
Best known for his role as Arthur Weasley in the world-famous Harry Potter film series. He played the loving father to Harry Potter’s best friend - Ron Weasley - from 2002 until the final film in 2011. Mark Williams has appeared in many other notable films, including 101 Dalmations, The Borrowers, and Stardust where he starred alongside Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfieffer to name but a few.
Mark’s movie credentials are equally as impressive as his TV career. He has appeared in shows like the Red Dwarf and Doctor Who, which has been a significant part of pop culture gaining a widespread cult following. Most famously, his role as the titular character in BBC’s Father Brown continues to be hugely popular. It is broadcast in over 100 countries with the BBC calling the show it’s Number 1 drama of the last decade. In it’s 10th season, Father Brown averaged 2.6 million viewers per episode.
Despite his brilliant career as an actor, Mark’s first love is engineering and history. These passions led him to the non-fiction side of television, allowing him to present a number of documentaries. These include: Mark Williams’ Big Bangs on the history of explosives, Mark Williams on the Rails, Industrial Revelations, and the follow-up series, More Industrial Revelations.
